Those 2.5 screenshots are very nice. But someone please tell us if there will be more hardware demand on this ? Do we need to upgrade hardware for the new 2.5 ?

I don't know about that...I get 60-80 fps in 1.5 using Starways Caucases mod. I'd like to believe EDs new map will be at least as clean as his soooo...

Good grief! What graphics settings are you using? My specs are very similar to yours and I don't get that kind of performance in 1.5.4+

On cold manual starts only in 1.5. My 109 engine seizes up 30 seconds after lift off even though temps are nowhere near max, and I keep the engine at 1 atm. Rad control is set to automatic. Anyone get the same issue?

How nice of youtube to turn their minimize button into a Balkenkreuz to support this module :P

You'll be better off with placing such questions in relevant aircraft sub-forums.

Anyway, sounds like You're overrevving the engine. Flip prop pitch control to auto, or at least don't forget to lower the pitch manually to keep RPM within limits.

What was in the last update?

as of august 21st I got back from a weekend out and saw a new update. I haven't seen a changelog or newsletter posted anywhere. Does anyone know what this was about?

Thank you, got it. Man that switch is tiny!

All three builds were updated on 19th.

Changelogs for 1.5.x are here (at least the basic ones, 'cause 3rd Party devs publish their own anyway).

Creat a

Config/View/Labels.lua

File in your mission file

Mission Editor will kill this lua file after saving the mission. You must add it manually after edit.

So, after creating your mission in Mission Editor, you extract the .miz file, place the labels.lua file in same folder as the extracted file and repack it.

If this is correct, what application do you need to repack. 7z, zip?

I just open the miz file with WinRAR. No need to extract and repack. Just drag the config/view/labels.lua into it.

Labels format now forced in multiplayer game from mission file

Is this in the Mission Editor? Where? How? Or do you manually edit something in the mission file? Could someone explain this a bit, please?

Could it be possible for anyone to confirm that CUSTOM labels ARE enforced from the server?

I have labels ON and ENFORCED in the mission editor, included a custom labels.lua file inside the .miz file and integrity box checked on Server but connected clients still see labels the way they are configured on client's DCS.

Any ideas?

It's tested here.

You can try this mission.

If things go right, both server and client can see number "123" after player's name in the label.

Thanks billeinstein. I will try and report back. If one can do it, then it CAN be done and I will figure out what I am doing wrong :)

Back with excellent news: It works a marvell and I have figured out what I was doing wrong. I was not copying the folders Config\Views\labels.lua. I was just placing only the labels.lua file inside the .miz. If a spike of brain activity where to happen, I would have understood that the engine needs some structure to read material :)

Thank you billeinstein for your time and effort to put me on the right path. This is an absolutely great feature for mission designers and Server operators.

Yes, seeing them makes me want them. Very troublesome!
I'd like to have that problem. I can see all the pictures in all the other updates. Just those last 4 pictures I can't see.
