Not complaining as obviously the sales decisions are up to the ED. Consider it more of a hint but with a new campaign release it would be great to have it bundled with just the airplane. In other words it would be great to have F-5E bundled together with the new ABFM campaign as there are probably a lot of people that already own the Nevada.
Agreed, as a Nevada owner I would have considered buying an F-5E + Campaign bundle.

Since the hornet and DCS 2.5 have been pushed into next year, I am not looking forward for the weekly news update as before. But 2017 will be a very excited year with the hornet, SoH and DCS 2.5

I'd like to see a red Eagles version using a mig21. I'll be sold on that. Alas we wait for Monday to roll around and see what LNS streams of their Viggen.

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.

Here in the States it's the day after the Thanksgiving holiday (last Thursday in November). It ushers in the Xmas shopping season with all kinds of crazy sales and marketing gimmicks, and sometimes crazy antics from shoppers.

I kind of miss the old days when I lived in Germany, Langer Samstag and shops closed on Sunday. I left Germany for the last time in 1992.

During the month of November both versions recieved updates which "Added functionality to the lights on the refueling pod for the IL-78". Does anybody know what that functionality is?

It's like carrier landing lights but on the Russian drogue tankers. A way to visually tell the pilot weither he is connected or not or needs to break away. This is used on the kc135 also but is not in game ATM. It aids in radio silence during ops AFAIK

The lights are very useful, they act in a similar way to the Kc-135 position lights.

They are based on the position and rate of movement of the drogue fore and aft.

If you are drifting back the right light will flash, once you get near the aft limit it will turn on solid. Left light does the same thing if you are drifting forward.

The lights don't tell you anything until you make contact... one glaring inaccuracy of the 135 is IRL the lights are based on boom position and don't help you during pre contact (as far as I'm aware)

DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule.

OK, thanks for all the responses. As I understand from Pocket Sized, the left hand light blinks if I am drifting forward and is on solid at the forward limit, and the right hand light blinks if I am drifting aft and turns solid at the aft limit. I have seen all three lights blink while hooked up. Any idea what that might mean? I wonder if they give any vertical position information - too high or too low??

Thanks again for the information. I'll give this a test when I get home from work.

IIRC all flashing has something to do with making contact? I remember them all doing something when I finished the transfer but I can't remember if they all flashed.

A "take off" of Accounting terms for "In the Black" is positive $ gains where "In the Red" is a loss monetarily.
