DCS World Weekend News Update Discussion

Agreed... except for the engine sound. Hope there'll be some realistic improvements down the line as well. The constant flyby sounds while slowly taxiing is rather awkward.

+1

Plus a better shutdown sequence of sounds.

Can you explain then what is multi-crew? Excuse my ignorance

Multicrew means more than one pilot per plane or chopper via online multiplayer.

Apparently they made some changes to refueling, something to do with collisions.

Anyone tried this yet or knows what specifically they changed?

DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule.

In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.

I don't see that in the update mind quoting it? There was indeed a lot of hinds in that video with an updated exterior model......watchbitll be two weeks to the spitfire and then........DELAY!

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.

It was never a feature to have networked mutli-crew, it was a hope of the team to implement at some point.

From the official product page:

- Multiplayer coop mode for crew members of the same helicopter under development for a later update.

"Under development"! That's way more than just a hope. Not a single word here indicates that this is just a possibility that eventually hapens or not.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

AI refueling check collision optimisation, multi-hose tanker flow fix, AI-client position fix

Reading again it might be referring to AI on AI refueling. Not sure though.

But it was never a feature that would stop it from going to full release. Its not a feature of final release, but possible expansion of features later on.

Sith, can you please talk to Matt and see if the price of the DCS F-5E on Steam is correct? (The converted price to Brazilian real).

It was at R$105,99, now it is R$207,99, for example the DCS Bf 109 K-4 costs R$ 90,99, 207 doesn't look right.. maybe it's a typo.

This has to be wrong.. doesn't make sense.

Can you please double check to see if it's correct?

I think steam controls their own conversion,

in $ it's Listed as $59.99

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

I made sure to have every Friday off for the month of Dec as well as the last 10 days just in case I have some extra reason to utilize my time with.

I am hoping I find I don't have enough time ;)

It does indeed not stop it from going to be released. It has been released after all :)

But, multicrewing is listed as a solid feature (for later) and not just a possibility that might happen or might not.

Quote Vedexent: The technical term for an over ambitious ground attack pilot is "dead".

Quote SiThSpAwN: I figure 1.5 will have to buy some roses and chocolates, take 2.0 to a nice restaurant, and if it opens doors and is a gentleman, 1.5 and 2.0 might just get to merge one day.

My bet would be 2.0x being aligned with latest changes from 1.5.x. Then 1.5.x release with Spit next week, maybe also with Viggen. Lets see. Either way DCS is bringing some great stuff for Christmas

F/A-18, F-16, F-14, M-2000C, A-10C, AV-8B, AJS-37 Viggen, F-5E-3, F-86F, MiG-21bis, MiG-15bis, L-39 Albatros, C-101 Aviojet, P-51D, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, Bf 109 4-K, UH-1H, Mi-8, Ka-50, NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf... and not enough time to fully enjoy it all

^^i assume, that they will not release the spit in 1.5.x release version though, but in 1.5.x open beta install. at least it was that way with the 190 and 109...

Or in 2.0 ;)

Seriously, all 3 variants are possible.
