Andrei Dragovic Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Is the boost a seperate lever than the throttle? I thought the boost increased with RPM but am obviously mistaken No, the boost is like Manifold pressure in the P-51 or ATA in the German birds and is controlled with the throttle. mwd2 Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 He spent some time on it for sure, but that does go with all the WWII fighters, its an art form to throwing these birds around, although I stand by my statement that Matt cheated with having a Spitfire pilot coach, or maybe I am just jealous :) I agree, he cheated :D Playing: DCS World Intel i7-13700KF, 64GB DDR5 @5600MHz, RTX 4080 ZOTAC Trinity, WIN 11 64Bit Prof. Squadron "Serious Uglies" / Discord-Server: https://discord.gg/2WccwBh Ghost0815

beagleRampant Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 I think I've wrecked more Doras than were built IRL. At least it will be harder to beat that number with Mk IXs.
Solty Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Great to see it fly. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]In 21st century there is only war and ponies. My experience: Jane's attack squadron, IL2 for couple of years, War Thunder and DCS. My channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyAXX9rAX_Sqdc0IKJuv6dA
taxman1 Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Really looking forward to taking the Spit for a spin. Thank you Matt and DCS team. 1
Friedrich-4B Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Just one thing Ed has forgotten - optional ground crew to guide the pilot and keep an eye on the wingtips... Thanks Wags & ED! :pilotfly: 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]************************************* Fortunately, Mk IX is slightly stable, anyway, the required stick travel is not high... but nothing extraordinary. Very pleasant to fly, very controllable, predictable and steady. We never refuse to correct something that was found outside ED if it is really proven...But we never will follow some "experts" who think that only they are the greatest aerodynamic guru with a secret knowledge. :smartass: WWII AIRCRAFT PERFORMANCE

Wags" Still in work, but not at a state this week that I could use it" Just FYI There are times the new maps just dont work, its part of the development, it happens. Dont read too much into it, they have a lot of work to do yet, but on the good weeks its very flyable and drive-able ;) Its getting there :) Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
