The weekend news letter with the special info about the future of DCS (same as last year near this date), same as this:

https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2659915&postcount=13

Or at least "any" news about anything...

We will get new info when there is something new to report. They have been shying away from roadmaps more and more because people take them as concrete promises of release in 'two weeks'.

Did we have double dose this time guys? 1.5 and 2.0, looks like we also have an update for 1.5.

I'm downloading an update for 1.5.6 Beta now to 1.5.6.1648.240 (763.5MB)

Not sure what's in it as I haven't seen any change log yet but hopefully the fix list for the Viggen.

Spitfire in Nevada too......it's going to be a good weekend!!!

Today's update change log is right at the bottom.

Nothing about any Viggen fixes but that doesn't mean they are not in there. We need some confirmation from the LN guy's on this.

I've come to the conclusion that nothing is ever being released. There's actually a better chance the world ends in nuclear war atm than ED dropping a module.

I often have the same feeling and things with DCS do in fact progress really slowly. However, looking back things have really moved on in the last few years.

There was a time when we waited years without a new module at all. Now we have a new module every few months.

Just look at how many modules there are now...

PC Specs / Hardware: MSI z370 Gaming Plus Mainboard, Intel 8700k @ 5GHz, MSI Sea Hawk 2080 Ti @ 2100MHz, 32GB 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM

Displays: Philips BDM4065UC 60Hz 4K UHD Screen, Pimax 8KX

Controllers / Peripherals: VPC MongoosT-50, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, modded MS FFB2/CH Combatstick, MFG Crosswind Pedals, Gametrix JetSeat

OS: Windows 10 Home Creator's Update

I'd rather have a smaller number of high quality modules than many half-baked ones.

After the recent changes in one completely unmentioned country (OOOPS! Politics!), I wouldn't consider the former option totally impossible but come on, it's not nearly that bad. Sure, things aren't going forward as fast as envisioned (if they would, we would have F/A-18, Typhoon, , P-40, Normandy, 2.5, F-14, Su-33 PFM, Carriers and probably few more out by now), but on the other hand, look how many modules do we have now. Certainly more than I am able to sucesfully learn, not counting those upcoming already on my to-buy list.

Also note that while ED have to focus on improving the engine, while third parties "simply" release modules for it.

To the todays newsletter, it doesn't bring anything groundbreaking, but I thing this would be the good place to congratulate the video contest winners. Considering DCS: Normandy is not even released, they surely made great job capturing that WWII feel.
