For whatever reason they pulled textures out that greatly enhance the detail. Adding procedural grass and new lighting effects/shaders must need to be reworked before adding textures back.

I agree, the there is not much detail in the textures. Hope they add the better lighting effects, water, and the missing casinos on the strip!

I think the only issue is time. ED stands for quality so things will be updated. I am sure..:D

The map is done, they are moving forward towards the Caucasus update and SoH and beyond, dont expect much more out of the NTTR map beyond bug fixes.

It was released so that people can share their thoughts with ED on the Nevada map and find bugs that need to be squashed out.

 

Regarding the low textures, Sithspawn already answered to that in the YouTube comment section that they fixed it.

Yes, the community needs a video because front page video states its a WIP does not actually show areas of training grounds and target objects or terrain improvements, airbases shown at night with lights and other detail, things that matter as an aviation combat sim.

But enough has been said already on this in other threads.

 

Keen to see at least a 20minute video capturing what it does offer and some info on how new code technology has made this map worth getting.

 

And future possibilities to expand and add to this MAP.

 

So Please correct front page and release a video this weekend.

That's what beta testers are for. Making the public who paid good money for a product to test it, creates bad feelings.

NTTR and 2.0 are beta version (well, alpha versions, to be precise) ... so I don't see how that would create bad feelings?

Guys will buy anything given the chance. It would still be better to sell a finished product.

Its optional to buy, its early access, everyone was told that going in. You cant buy into a beta or alpha product and then complain its beta or alpha... cant have hard feelings about that.

Target objects where never promised or planned, and in fact a group on here has already made them, not to mention all the options we have in the ME for static and AI targets, along with a very robust ME to pull it all together. You can see it in many missions already.

 

The training grounds are there, and there are campaigns and missions utilizing these already. You have repeated these comments in a number of threads, I think we have heard enough.

 

1.10 Product feedback and constructive criticism is encouraged when provided in a mature and courteous manner. However, feedback that is abusive, insulting or condescending is not welcome. Additionally, to bring up a particular issue repeatedly after it has already been acknowledged will be considered "trolling" - in such cases a warning will be issued to the author and the post will be removed.
