Where do I need to copy these?

Unzip the downloaded file and put it in:

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\tech\WWII Units\Liveries\B-17G... and everything should be fine.

Beeing able to have a generic B-17G skin with dynamic numerals could be awesome, only one skin loaded with multiple code letters really adds a lot to inmersion in flying formations.

I can understand the need for generic skins...

Unfortunately, implementing dynamic numbering exceeds my current coding skills. Maybe someone from the community could give advice...:smartass:

In short, all I can propose to you at the moment is to delete the lettering and serial numbers of the planes...

Just a question: Were olive green still used to some extent in 44 or were most/all bombers in silvers finish at this point?

First, thanks for the beautiful screenshots.:thumbup:

To answer at your question, from what I read when I was making these skins, the first B-17G's (like Chow-hound "B-17G-15-BO") were transferred to England from the factories in the United States with the original paint scheme "olive drab / neutral gray". It would be as of January 1944 that the "natural metal finish" version (like D-Day Doll "B-17G-65-BO") would have appeared. It's reasonable to suppose, then, that the two variants could be seen, on the English bases, around June 1944.
