Inside DCS main install, go to mods/aircraft/M2000/docs

I tried that, but there's the old manual for me in the steam version (i reverted back to 1.5.8 for now).

I can't use the mirage in the shop version as it's not activatable.

On another note, would it be easier for an english speaker to learn the plane using the english mod? It would be way more intuitive, but i fear it might be harder to follow the tutorial or manuals

Thanks guys for all your feedback, I will compile the missing features list and then update the manual accordingly.

Hi,

This documentation is amazing (as your campain is).

A quick remark on page 89. The "EFF" button acts as a "Master Arm" for a fictional weapon mode which is not implemented. Fictional mode is enabled on the ground and simulate most weapon modes without having to carry anything under wings.

Can do. Also planning to add a list of changes at the end (so that it doesn't mess up the page numbers etc), at least the minor changes (new parts).

There is nothing because it is very simple for all airplanes. You just have ti enable it and it works. It is not fully modelled for any aircrafts, it only can detect which airplanes are blue and which are red...

Regarding the radar screen, on p. 172 1) the ownship symbology is missing, and also an explanation that the up pointing arrow is proportional to the speed of the aircraft, 2) also there is no explanation for the dashed azimuth reference lines (are they at 60 and 120 deg. ?). 3) on p. 181 and 183 there is no explanation that the long line starts blinking at a specific azimuth angle to warn the pilot that the lock can be lost (I don't know either the exact value, it must be specified in the manual). 4) Since Razbam stated here

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=195997 , that '' Enhancements to electrical system logic '' are planned / worked on, the electrical diagrams must be updated accordingly with explanation, what systems are tied to which bus etc. Also a basic explanation when the Alt 1,2 and Tr switches must be used (in emerg. situations ex. when Alt 1 lights comes on, the pilots cycles the respective switch in an attempt to restore the fault etc. ) . 5) Also, a explanation when the Pelles, Souris, Becs and Emerg. oil switches are used.

Also the FBW gain switch / emergency mode must be described in more detail. Capt Smiley has already done that in this post , which could be incorporated as it is in the manual with the respective diagram, and perhaps a little more explanation of it

https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2621725&postcount=84

(off topic . For what stands Zp and T.S. for? As I understand the pilot should fly within the 200kts, 40000ft, m 0.95 envelope, right? What are the others 500 kts / 15000 ft limits?).

Hi, not sure if somebody mentioned it.

I think there is a typo in the HUD section (page 90):

To operate the MA you need to have the radar altimeter activated. To activate it, you

only need to click the altimeter selector to the HG position. The MA display will

appear below the AGL altitude display.

I believe there is no "HG" position on the altimeter selector switch. Only "ZB", "H", "SELH". Sorry if it has been already reported. Cheers

I found another one. Sorry if it was already mentioned or I am wrong.

page 160, "DESIRED TIME ON TARGET (RD / TD MODE)"

To start the clock and guidance, press the TEL button on your PCA. A new set of

cues will show on your screen:

I believe "TEL" should be "TOP". At least I couldn't find a "TEL" button and "TOP" worked fine. Cheers

Seeing a number of posts from people unhappy with the outdated manual and being responsible for the training missions for the module (that are closely connected with the manual itself), I am happy to announce that I have been asked by RAZBAM to bring the manual up to speed with the current state of the M-2000C module and prepare it for fixes that should come at some point in the future (like the new PCA, updated FM, or fixed canopy frame.. ok, the last one probably won't have any impact on the manual). ;)

As this is a holiday season it may take some time to have everything ready, but I'll get to work ASAP and hope to have the first version in the next few weeks.

I would also count on your support with providing feedback on which parts OF THE MANUAL are not accurate or missing stuff (apart from the obvious "not available in Open Beta" ones, which will be first ones to update). Please stick to the manual and don't open a wish-list thread for the module itself :)

As you know M-2000C is a very special module for me and I'd like to see it enhanced and updated. The first step on that road would be to update the manual and then to do the overhaul of the training missions and porting them to NTTR.

Fantastic work Baltic (and the others who helped)! I've only recently realized that what used to be a very average manual became one of the best!

Thanks to all who worked on this :)

P. 132 ( edit 2020 p. 136 on the updated manual ), D/RLT , it says for WP01+ ''.Distance to WP (in minutes, seconds)''.

Should be in nautical miles, as it's correctly described in the next descr. line.

Possible typo on page 50 (Fuel systems)

It says

2. JAUGE FUEL AMOUNT COUNTER: displays Total Internal fuel amount. This

number is a measure by sensors mounted inside the internal tanks (except wing

ones, which are estimated by maths using the fuselage quantity and a multiplication

coefficient.

But the panel is actually JAUG

For whatever reason, they decided not to write the full word in the cockpit. But in French it's really jauge :smilewink:
