backspace340 Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 I'm interested in the new hp headset but I'm curious what type of card you will need to use it. I don't think the 1080ti will cut it. Will quote myself from another thread - I think you'll be fine with a 1080ti: You won't even necessarily need to do that, I used to run my Odyssey at 1.5PD on a 1080ti (1440x1440 multiplied by 1.5 = 2160x2160), and that was perfectly playable (45+FPS). I've since backed off to 1.4 so I can add x2 MSAA, but I'm expecting to be able to run the Reverb on my 1080ti at 1.0PD possibly with x2 MSAA as well but I'll have to see. If you have a 2080ti you can probably even add some extra PD.

Jyge Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Click the Save and close red button. This should save a Samsung-Odysseyxxxx.lua file in your config directory. The existence of that file prevents the window from popping up again. Do I understand you correctly that still comes back? https://pasteboard.co/I6CZFAQH.jpg No save nor close red buttons here...
DutchCoolHand Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 https://pasteboard.co/I6CZFAQH.jpg No save nor close red buttons here... I see that, did you find the file I referenced? I cant check the directory as I am doing an install at the moment to my new M.2 SSD. I would post this in the bug section. DutchCoolHand Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 No I have no Samsung_something_.lua in Config directories neither under the Saved Games nor in the game installation folder... So that is why you keep getting the window. I dont know hpw to change it. but I can send you my fie. It is in the DCS .openbeta directory under Saved Games. Take note of the values that work for you and copy them into the file attached as it currently has my values. DCSHeliflieger Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 Is it possible to make this file visible again as a re-adjustment table with sliders?
DCSHeliflieger Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 supplement Late self-knowledge: By deleting the lua file. Then, when you start VR DCS again appears the tabular setting area!
Tronorail Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 I don’t know if this is typical or not and would appreciate it if other WMR users can weigh in on this. When looking down to the left or right side areas of the cockpits (oxygen switches on Tomcat, for instance), my view will offset a little bit until I look up. When I do, my view resets back to normal. I can’t figure out if this is unique to me.

I’ve been thinking about putting some LED strips under my desk to possibly aid in this. Now that I know it’s not just me, I may try it.

VTB_Ray Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Does anyone know if the tweak to get MotionReprojection / Motion smoothing to work is still valid? I was trying to help a buddy out last night with his O+ and we couldn't find a MixedRealityVRDriver folder anywhere on his system - so we were unable to locate the file to modify. Is it on by default now in the latest version of SteamVR and is there any way to verify it's working? He opted into the beta for WMR and SteamVR. sze5003 Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 (edited) I think it's a setting in steam VR settings now. Enable motion reprojection in the video tab of steam VR. I didn't have have to do anything different and I noticed my fps stays around 45 or so most times. I don't use steam VR beta or wmr beta. Rosebud47 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 I´ve ordered the lenses from VR Lens Lab for the Samsung Odyssey, which perfectly fit too on the Samsung Odyssey+. The adapter lenses on top of the Odyssey´s regular lenses really came very close to my eyes. So I´ve ordered a new and thicker face cushin form "VR cover" for the Odyssey+ , which gave some space back between adpater lenses and eyes.
