dawgie79 Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Will there be kneeboards included in the missions? Maybe I overlooked it but couldn't find the answer. Thanks. :)
VDV Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Will there be kneeboards included in the missions? Maybe I overlooked it but couldn't find the answer. Thanks. :) So will be ready in the end of June...sooo longgg... :(
kengou Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 I'm curious, will the scene involving nudging a plane with a passed out pilot into a new course be included in some way? i can't imagine how that would get scripted but would be an awesome test of flying skill. baltic_dragon Posted March 30, 2020 Author Posted March 30, 2020 Will there be kneeboards included in the missions? Maybe I overlooked it but couldn't find the answer. Thanks. :) Of course, based on real life ones. And checked by both Jell-O and Kevin Miller. So will be ready in the end of June...sooo longgg... :( I know :) but I still am waiting for some VOs, need to test everything with supercarrier.. plus do A LOT of testing and fine-tuning. Especially that I don't use ANY AI wingmen (that you can command through radio menu) - all is done via custom F10 commands. At works SO MUCH BETTER than the standard AI guys that fly with you. I'm curious, will the scene involving nudging a plane with a passed out pilot into a new course be included in some way? i can't imagine how that would get scripted but would be an awesome test of flying skill. I am checking how the AI reacts, so far it looks that you can do it but will need to verify. And the unconciouss pilot keeps swiveling his head, unfortunately... ;) For more information, please visit my website. speed-of-heat Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 @baltic_dragon, I'm really jazzed about the campaign, but as a VR pilot i tend to use VoiceAttack and Viacom for my comms... your F10 option sounds like it would not have native support that way? Any thoughts on how that might be accomplished ? Any thoughts on how that might be accomplished ? Probably I'd have to provide a full list of options for each sortie, ie commands? Also some will be activated with the SPACE BAR, which should be easier I guess? For more information, please visit my website. speed-of-heat Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 maybe,if it changes much between sorties it would likely make it complex to build maintain and use, not sure about "space bar" whilst it might make the programming experience more consistent, im not sure it makes it more immersive. I really want to say "the command"(engage, break or whatever) for immersion rather than say "execute space bar" or whatever abstract it is and whilst you could have a bunch of alias's that map to "space bar" that would be tough to maintain, and i suspect would "ruin" the surprises you have in store for us? unlikely_spider Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 (edited) Hello Baltic Dragon. A question about this campaign - I'm currently learning the A-10 and am enjoying your TEW 3.0 campaign. Though I've been simming for a decade, the A-10c is by far the most modern military craft I've ever learned in depth. I don't really have much interest in seeking out and destroying air-to-air targets that I can't even see, which is why I'm typically found in warbirds or cold-war era craft where things get up close and personal. Is there much in this campaign for someone like me? I'm asking because I'd have to buy the Hornet and carrier, which are on sale right now. Really the main reason I'm even interested is because you're the one making it. The campaigns and trainings I've seen that you've done are among the best one can hope for in a sim, and the desire to experience the level of immersion in campaigns such as the Enemy Within were enough for me to try to learn something that I've never done before and learn the systems of the A-10. speed-of-heat Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Totally support this comment. I fly in VR only with voice attack. Also, when will it be available? so i have been digging on this, and there are some options for "options", from memory i think the command structure is "options" to bring up the page, then "take n" where n is the number of the comms menu so F9 is 9 , so "options, take 9" takes the 9th communications option available to you SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
Greyman Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 "Mystery options" will take you directly to the F10 menu, which will save you having to press F10 yourself.

Hey, sorry for late reply - and thanks for the kind words! As to your question, I think there will be a more or less even distribution of missions between three kinds: 1 vs 1 training with your squadron mates, CAS / SEAD / anti-ship, ground attack and air to air. Each mission will offer some amount of action but quite a few will be done without firing a single shot... For more information, please visit my website. Gierasimov Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 Thanks! Each mission will offer some amount of action but quite a few will be done without firing a single shot... tintifaxl Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 Just having finished the last of the three books, it's pretty good timing there, Baltic! But nearly all the missions in the book are pretty gruesome to fly: going into the wall at night in bad weather, dropping empty tanks on boats, getting shot down and mostly night flying (that I absolutely hate in DCS) and always! AAR. Do you have any helpers planned? Like skipping the AAR, pretty please? Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.
