Home-made cockpit from Swedish spruce, Warthog hotas, Virpil pedals, JetPad, Reverb G2, emergency eject handle (not functional yet). Patch of Skyhawk Squadron from 60ties. All visitors are in awe, usually forced to give it a try.

A "Share your Office/Cockpit" thread can refer to a discussion forum or social media thread where people share photos or videos of their work spaces, particularly those used for remote work or telecommuting. This can be a fun way for people to see the different environments and setups that others use to be productive and connect with others who have similar interests.

My humble cockpit ...
It started off as a simracing rig (and the front dashboard can still be swapped with the steering wheel, though changing the pedals and all the cabels is a bit of work)

Here is my "adapted" iRacing to DCS rig. The shifting in iRacing started to kill my hands (paddle shifting), so it was time to give up that hobby. DCS is the next step upwards! The new Porsche Mission R electric GT racing car didn't require shifting, but Man is it weird not having to shift. After ten years of doing laps I was able to get that out of my system.  🙂

I recently finished my VR simpit and made a YT vid on the build process. The concept for this one is that the cockpit aesthetics are in my VR goggles and I am sick of setting up and putting away all the bits and pieces so now they are all fixed on a dedicated skeletal system.

I have the same throttle setup and mount. I'm just curious, how did you mount the STEM module to the UCM? I ended up using a couple of the supplied m3 screws screwed into two of the holes on the STEM back plate. I couldn't get all four holes on the back of the STEM to line up with the slots in the UCM but it seems secure enough.

There are some really awesome Cockpits involved dear Sirs!

Here's mine.

The seat and woodwork are 10 years old, but I recently put my Warthog to rest and went for Virpil flightgear.

The MFG pedals are from 2014 too and they still do awesome work.

In the first installment as shown on the pictures the Stick is maybe 10cm to high so I lengthened the mount desk.

Now everything is perfectly ergonomic.

Guys, please tell me I'm not the only one with a crappy set-up compared to the images I've seen here...

I feel like I should give up playing until I get a set up like most of you guys here, it's crazy cool with all the controls and stuff...

Is it even worth to call myself a player at this point??

(Real talk though these set-ups had had my adrenaline pumping with excitement, never seen cooler set ups, especially that photo with the helmet included *mind blown*)

Relax. Everybody started similar to your setup and then built up over time. Depending on how much you see it as a hobby, you can put more money into or less.

The most important stuff beyond a basic joystick is a decent hotas and pedals. Button boxes are optional and go all the way from zero to hero depending on what you want.

Even if you have a decent setup - looking at some of the cockpit builders stuff can make you feel very very layman/noob. Don’t let yourself get fooled. You don’t NEED most of that for having fun with the game. And for some, cockpit building is a hobby on its own - don’t forget that.

Really Cool!

Did you made the gap in the front of the seat yourself?

Yes, i cut the section out and created an insert from sheet metal for the recess. The seat is out of a late model BMW I pulled from a wrecking yard.
