BonerCat Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 +1 The greyhound, while not contributing to combat ops, is a vital part of carrier operatons. It would be very cool to have one for immersion/mission making Modules: F-14, F-15C, F-16C, F/A-18C, M-2000C, A-10C, A-10C II, AV-8B N/A, MiG-29, Su-33, MiG-21 Bis, F-5E, P-51D, Ka-50, Mi-8, Sa 342, UH-1H, Combined Arms Maps and others: Persian Gulf, Syria, Normandy, WWII Assets, NS 430 + Mi-8 NS 430

They never implement "mods". New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. Jackjack171 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Ai? I want a greyhound module. ? To perform what role? A mail run to the beach? Ha DO it or Don't, but don't cry about it. Real men don't cry!
AegisFX Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 ? To perform what role? A mail run to the beach? Ha At some point, they intend to revamp the "Warehouse" and logistics of the game right? It seems like we'd need something to bridge the naval units with the land warehouses too. sirrah Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Yeah, sadly thats not the way it works with ED. They never implement "mods". Well, they did include some user made AI skins to the core game iirc. Why not take it one step further and include user made AI models. I do understand why they don't implement flyable mods like the A-4, as that would be bad for business, butsome additional AI or static models wouldn't hurt, right? In the case of aircraft think its entirely a licensing/upkeep thing. Skins are one thing, whole models/modules another. I mean even stuff like sustnags FARP mod aren't "officially in game" for some reason and it would be a massive improvement to the game to have it in. So there are probably "reasons" and I can't think "licensing" some mats is a problem. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. Jester986 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 ? To perform what role? A mail run to the beach? Ha Yes, or maybe hauling out replacement pilots/crew. Or give an enemy the chance to kill a high value target making his way to the boat for an inspection. There's plenty to do with and evryone has different tastes.
Ironwulf Posted January 25, 2020 Author Posted January 25, 2020 Yes like that mod, but officially supported, and yes for immersion and logistics (simulated or actual) - is: shoot down the greyhound, no resupply for carrier weapons etc.

Or give an enemy the chance to kill a high value target making his way to the boat for an inspection. There's plenty to do with and evryone has different tastes. This. I'd buy one is a second. Dual seating with multiplayer cockpits or AI co-pilot in singleplayer. Make two versions, passenger/logistics interior(s) to integrate into dynamic campaigns for the future, on and offline. Get shot down in your last mission? Fit enough to report back to duty, you say? Glad to hear it. We'll be giving you a ride back out to the new Supercarrier on the next Greyhound flight along with the mail. :D "These are NOT 1 to 1 replicas of the real aircraft, there are countless compromises made on each of them" - Senior ED Member Modules - Damn near all of them (no Christian Eagle or Yak) System - Ryzen 9 7900X, 64Gig DDR5 RAM, RTX-4090, 3 32" monitors @1440, default settings of High (plus some)

Skins are pretty different from an AI model. I would love to see an AI Greyhound from ED, I think it's a pretty big miss for ED not having it included in the Supercarrier Module. Ironwulf Posted January 26, 2020 Author Posted January 26, 2020 Oh don’t get me wrong a flyable one would be fun, but that’s a big stretch... but an AI greyhound can’t be too difficult. It doesn’t even need combat systems or even countermeasures, as I don’t think it has any IRL... although I am sure they could bodge-tech a flare dispenser if pressed.
