I know they are rather in rare use but IMO they're too small und unreadable too good. You're right about unreadable icons. I use them quite often to be frank :D

It's like reading in dim light Oh, I can see it OK, but it's not really conducive to easy reading at all. Find a scheme that offers more contrast to the print, please. Someone on the Russian side said the colors must've been inspired by the American flag. Funny... Of course, both flags use red, white and blue. So I'm not sure why the implication should be to either side. To me, it is exactly the opposite - both sides, which is what DCS will feature.
