That man started my interest in flight from a very early age after getting my hands on Chuck Yeagers Flight Simulator.  Such an incredible life.

Man... +1 here, in the long gone early 1990's.

Rest in peace.

A legend makes his final flight.  He was a massive inspiration to me and where I have wound up in life.  I will not forget the day he buzzed my house in a P-51.  I drove as fast as I could to the Bell Helicopter facility where he was making an appearance for the anniversary of X-1.  I still have photos of Chuck taking off and leaving.  It was all over the news.  May he rest in peace.  He has truly changed the lives of so many.  It would be nice to see a tribute flight for him in game online.  Maybe a lot of us flying the P-51, F-86, and F-15.

I'm so proud to have shaked your hand and talked with you "Monsieur Chuck Yeager" in Toulouse France, long time ago.

Rest in peace and thank you so much for mankind and aeronautics.

Good by sir

One of the highlights of my life was meeting Chuck Yeager. I was working at Edwards AF base on the C-17 flight test program in 1991 and was outside the hangar having a smoke with 2 other guys....up rolls a gold AF Ford Tempo that parks right in front of us....I look at the driver and I say to the dudes with me...thats Chuck Yeager..."ya right" is the response....out steps Chuck Yeager...think it was the only time in my life I was star struck. He hung out with us for almost 15 minutes bullshitting about the C-17 and other airplane stuff....totally down to earth nice guy. I asked him what brought him down here...and he said he just wanted to see the latest and greatest cargo plane. Whats amazing was he just cruised down to see it...didnt tell anyone he was coming....just wanted to check it out.

He went though the sound barrier and now he's gone through the next barrier. He probably broke that record as well . "God speed Chuck."

Chuck is a cool guy, his favorite aircraft are the P51 Mustang and the SR71 Blackbird. We did a prank once and joined 2 P51's together and then asked him to test fly it! It is one of many aircraft he turned down. So that is where that twin P51 came from, no it is not safe as it never got tested thoroughly enough. There are many more pranks such as the flying flap jack is another one for Chuck. And that is where that came from!

''Twin P-51''? You mean the F-82, of which several hundred were built and saw service in the Korean War?

Why am I even humoring you... you're either a low effort troll or certifiably insane @@
