This could very well be the next-step "module" (given triggers module in DCS:BS) towards a semi-dynamic campaign. I’ve never been in RL in the area of the black sea region; however I can imagine that some the big cities have bigger high rise buildings then the ones portrayed in DCS. They seem a bit small for me. I know it’s not a high priority, however It would be nice, what do you think? HiJack Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I wish the DCS series could implement a C2 (Command and Control network) for both sides in a mission or the possibility to implement a battle commander function (one or more players). This would benefit the possibilities to host a organized :yay: “BigWar” with commander(s) on both sides. This would also open up the possibility to use the latest missile innovations like for instance the Maverick LOAL. The new Maverick function LOAL (Lock-On-After-Launch) is an upgrade of the missile that requires no upgrade of the Maverick delivering aircraft. If the aircraft can deliver the Maverick it can use the LOAL missiles. Raytheon Company has successfully demonstrated the capability of the Maverick Lock-On-After-Launch (LOAL) program in a series of captive flight tests. All aircraft that are Maverick-capable today are capable of employing LOAL Mavericks without revisions to the aircrafts' operational flight programs and without aircraft modifications. Maverick is a precision, air-to-ground missile that is used against small, hard targets; armored vehicles; surface-to-air missile sites; and high-value targets such as ships, port facilities and communications centers. The missile has launch-and-leave capability to enable the pilot to lock onto the target, launch the Maverick and then take evasive action. :joystick: Missile launches are possible at significantly greater standoff ranges and altitudes, without requiring pilot line-of-sight to the target and ensuring compliance with today's employment rules of engagement. Scenes I discovered my passion for sims in younger days there was only Western birds and choppers to fly, and I flu them all JANSE F-18/F-15 EF-2000 and so on.. Killing AI Mig-23 su-27 and Migs. I had to wait on till the HIND release witch was build on longbow Apache graphics. That was bright moments in my life, For the first time I could imagine to fly something Russian. Then I had to wait couple of years more to se the Flanker 1.5, 2.0. Even if the game was not flowerless I loved to fly the airplane I was waiting all my life flying F-18s F-15s. Now when I hear rumors that there is a chance that Su-27 will not even be developed at all by ED, I get the urgense to let my frustration out. If i shoot to the gears, broke gears, if a shoot to the cannon, broke cannon, if a shoot to the driver position kill driver. - Eliminate final explosion for destroyed vehicle. In the simulators and the games, ever you destroy vehicle, this exploit, but in the reality, not ever explode. Some times exploit sometimes not. - Collisions trees (yes i know this is inside the project, only remember XD) - Integration comunication system in the DCS. I say VOIP. Not more use the TS3, and use integrated system of DCS, with realistic functions, channels, frecuencys, etc... similar to Open Falcon. For example if I am flying an A10 and just killed the larger part of a convoy maybe the remaining few vehicles shouldnt keep fighting me? Maybe they should just stop moving cos the crew abandoned their vehicles and ran off? Will this be in DCS:WH? Or how realistic is this type of behaviour in RL? I should point out that what I know about programming is written in the top left corner of that postage stamp over there.... hmmm not much But the ultimate flight sim would be set up just like DCS FC2 with the virtual environment and mission planner with AI players etc being the base program with only lets say 2 aircraft types available at the start. The important difference would be that the physics and virtual physical world would be encrypted so as to be tamper proof by those compulsive tamperers that with best intention often do great harm to the usability of these sims. Now that the Virtual world is Tamper proof the program writers can focus on developing feature aircraft types that are as detailed and complete as to satisfy any budding sim fan. Each aircraft type would be purchased as a seperate add on and flown fully compatible in the common virtual world. The aircraft would also be tamper proof as far as weapon system loads and performance physics, but there would be a built in tool that would allow skins of clan patches to be cusomised to suit individual clans/pilots and that skin/patch graphic would be shared in the export files along with the mission map details when a pilot joined the mission. Because the virtual world would be tamper proof the compulsive tamperers and fiddlers (I am trying hard not use the word "cheats") would have to focus their "talents" on such things as skins or mission design and clan logos etc. Thus allowing the program writers to get paid for doing the occaisional graphics/texture improvement to the base program. Imagine such a virtual flight and fight sim world..... infinately increasing Nos of aircraft types would be complimented by the introduction of user playable vehicles and user playable avatars of even individual soldiers.. truely a community united in mayhem. And if it was all just too much then you could just strap on your favourite AC and go be a tourist in your own mission setup or break out your own avatar and set up a virtual cafe for tired combatants. 213 Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 rain on cockpit canopy hi, i couldn't help but notice that rain splatter and trickling isn't featured in the game. it would be nice to put the windshield and shkval wiper to good use. my proposal is to make an animated rain droplet overlay on the glass whenever there is rain. the size and frequency of the droplet could depend on the severity of the storm. i seem to recall varying degrees(number 1 to 9) for the storm condition under weather settings. another way to do it could be to use shaders. this is a good video of this kind of rain effect. the direction of rain trickls and splashes also changes dynamically depending on aircraft's movement: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okFdNM_l6_U

Ever flown in a heli that didnt shake 100% of the time? i5 4690K, GTX1070, 24GB 1800mhz, HP WMR, Custom FFB helicopter controls.

It logs each weapon that was fired, when a unit was hit by a weapon, when a unit died. Unfortunately, it doesn't log some other crucial events or does not provide the information in a usable way. This is my list of improvements to the debrief.log: Add UTC timestamps to relate in game events to realtime Add player names Add unit type (vehicle, plane, helicopter, ship..) Add unit name (Su-27, BMP-3, Mi-24V etc..) Log actual game spawns (when a player actually enters in an aircraft into the mission) Log actual game exits (when a player actually exits from the mission in an aircraft) Log player connection information (IP, UCID) Log actual kills (presently only hits and units dying are logged) Add airbase coalition information Add a trigger action that writes a string to the debrief.log to log non standard events from within the game Most of these issues were encountered when making the 51st stats page. 1 There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
