jctrnacty Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Ok, now that the BS russian is gold we know there is still work to complete the translation of BS multi. But can anyone tell us what is going to follow? A-10 or AH-64?? Please someone from ED could you just insinuate what's next??? thanks [sigpic][/sigpic] MB MSI x570 Prestige Creation, RYzen 9 3900X, 32 Gb Ram 3333MHz, cooler Dark rock PRO 4, eVGA 1080Ti, 32 inch BenQ 32011pt, saitek X52Pro, HP Reverb, win 10 64bit
borchi_2b Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 i hope the ah-64 apache, cause that is the reason why i would buy BS we can fly the a-10 in lomac right now, so there is no urgent need for it, i think, as 3rd project the a-10 would be a good choice, so that we have the transfer to fixed wings slowly http://www.polychop-sims.com

But can anyone tell us what is going to follow? A-10 or AH-64?? Please someone from ED could you just insinuate what's next??? thanks As for what happens after Black Shark, the team has several aircraft modules currently in development (this could include development of 6 DOF cockpits, avionics or flight dynamics). While the A-10A Suite 2 module will still likely follow the Black Shark, the following aircraft are also now planned for DCS in development at one stage or another: 1- A-10A Suite 2 (latest version of A-10A in active use) 2- A-10C Suite 3 (we now able to develop an entertainment version of the simulation we developed for them. We are very happy and excited about this). 3- AH-64A Blk. 49A 4- Su-27 5- F-15C 6- Mi-24V 7- F-16C 8- MiG-29A http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=422862&postcount=1 Deutsche DCS-Flughandbücher SYSSpecs: i7-4790K @4GHz|GA-Z97X-SLI|16GB RAM|ASUS GTX1070|Win10 64bit|TrackIR5|TM Warthog/Saitek Pro Pedals
qrazi Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 IIRC ED has already started working on at least the A10 module... Which makes sense since they made simulator for the USAF and got permission to use that code to make a commercial simulation. sobek Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 [snip] Although, as stated in wags' post, the order is still not clear. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
joey45 Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 would be good for a trainer jet with AFM like the Hawk to pratice on befor going on to the hardcore fast movers.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. sobek Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 would be good for a trainer jet with AFM like the Hawk to pratice on befor going on to the hardcore fast movers.. I think the learning curve for flying the fast movers won't be as steep as the one for the BS. The real problem will be handling all the systems and not crashing at the same time. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
DTWD Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Hopefully the Harrier...take that learning curve vertical people! :D Regards Paul 1 Regards [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

RedTiger Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 There's a little bit after that quote about needing to develope the WAFM to coincide with releasing air to air-capable planes. So I'm fairly certain that the A-10 will be next. 1
RobGordon Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 All I know is that the Shark will keep me busy for a very long time, hopefully until the next DCS module arrives. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

HitchHikingFlatlander Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 ^The AH64 module will have you covered I think! Does anyone know if any other upcoming modules will be two seaters like the Apache? http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
dirt-torpedo Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 A-10's are fun but the Longbow should be next. With 2 seat multi player.

jpm1 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 i'm looking foward a SU-25 module . Don't know if i'll buy BS without this , well an helo simulation could be funny but i'm fine with LOMAC for now . A SU-25 module would be easy the model 's already very good in FC just copy it to BS and you have at least a client :) i'm talking of the SU-25 not the SU-25T . i won't buy BS cause buying BS means changing my PC and getting out at least 1000 € what i personnally won't do for an helo whatever pretty it is , only a SU-25 could make me decide myself to take the plunge . Some say if you don't buy BS there won't be any modules that's probably true but i canno't make projects on the comet SU-25 missions [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
leafer Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I have recurring dreams of flying the Marine Harrier with AFM from Eagle D. If EvilBivol-1 came here today and announced the Harrier as the next module, I'd have a fatal error of joy. I'd have a mega seizure and I'd see blue screen of death. But that scenario is about as likely as me turning out to be a divine being. So back to a scenario that's not very far-fetched which is ED's new 3D engine. I would love to have that more than any of the modules they can ditch out -- the only thing will trump that card for me is the flyable AV-8B. Mmm...vertical take-off a rocket with tiny wings...yummy. Anyway, any insight into how they'll go about the releasing of their new 3D engine? How about a glimpse of what it'll look like? ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
DaWu Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 MY dream is to fly the Mirage2000 in a good sim. :)
sobek Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Anyway, any insight into how they'll go about the releasing of their new 3D engine? How about a glimpse of what it'll look like? Considering past actions of ED ;) they will release screenshots when they deem the engine is ready to do so:music_whistling: Engine development is a VERY long and complicated process, in fact it's the most time comsuming process in games that don't license an engine. Noone really knows if the development has started in earnest, so we might be a good few years away from it being ready. At least it's not too bad to know that the whole game will be ported to the new engine, not just the new modules ;) Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
leafer Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I just read some where here that they have begun working on the new engine. Anyway, I just saw another thread about this. Sorry for going off topic. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
RedTiger Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 About the new engine...you really have to wonder about that. I can remember being floored by the graphics of Flanker 2.0 and being astounded at the screenshots from LOMAC. It would be crazy if this is Flanker/LOMAC all over again where they try to make their engine future-proof!
joey45 Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 would be good for a trainer jet with AFM like the Hawk to pratice on befor going on to the hardcore fast movers.. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kpCkOG87Hmk The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. leafer Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 It would be crazy if this is Flanker/LOMAC all over again where they try to make their engine future-proof! Well, if that's the case then I fully expect them to include a 70% rebate for CPU and Vid card OR include a used Core Duo and a spanking vid card for people like me. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
