It should show in the TEWS, In which video? I need to see it.

Hi, it was in this video where he is defending a phoenix but it doesn't show where the missile is coming from (I think)

I just dont understand the RWR system yet and was wanting to see if anyone had any idea. Thanks

You can see the missile there when it starts emitting, the small diamond.

You can see (and hear) the F-14 stt and AI red light and then you can see the probable position of the missile coming from the outside to the inside of the screen.

At 4:49 SAM lights up en you can see the missile there

After a tiny bit of research... Seeing Razbam said that that release date was out of their control and apparently set by ED, I wonder why you blame them for it?

I am assuming it is so ED can get their testers to approve it which is something they had mentioned before. If so it is still a huge length of time and a PITA for those of us that didn't factor that time in.

I would like to know how is the testing process for a new module, for example if they research how the avionics and aircraft should work? or if they request the information from the 3rd party or do they have their own SMEs.

It would be interesting to know the details. If the delay is accurate and it is the ED testing time then that implies a heck of a lot of detailed testing, or, they don't have people available to test it for a while. Maybe the Sinai and other modules were in the queue first. In witch case we are just unlucky.

My read is that at least some Razbam staff were caught by surprise too so I would think that that means that level of delay is not normal.

We are all reading between the lines and making assumptions so who knows. Only ED can tell us for sure.

Seems a lot of hype for July release, there is only so many videos I can watch. What good is five cold start videos two months before release?

I hope they were trolling us but seems an odd troll. They should say two weeks, when it is actually two weeks away. That would be funny and honestly what I thought they were doing last time....

To be honest, Razbam was saying a lot. "There is no delay, the delay is ED's fault and the delay is just a few days from early June to early July. So nothing to see here!"

Excellent news if that's true! All the beta tester feedback will be fully actioned and there's more than enough time to eliminate any possible integration issues through a pre-patch. Obviously open beta is open beta, but it seems like stability has been prioritised here and hopefully we see that bear through in the end. 😊

I know a lot of players are actually wrong to be angry. But they get hope because of the hype again and again, and they are disappointed again and again, I understand very well.Although I know that the production of high-quality aircraft will be slow, but at least since last August until now, ED and RAZBAM have been promoting and hyping it. Non-stop sooon, tow weeks, let people keep looking forward, especially recently there are a lot of videos, even if 15E is released tomorrow, it will not be surprising. It's really disappointing to hear that it will be postponed for at least a month.

NineLine seems to be saying they don't know what the date is or means and as far as they are concerned it is a normal release. So it looks like there are some wires crossed between some of the Razbam guys. I dunno, it doesn't really matter because I was just trying to work it all out out of interest. I'm not going to hate on any of them because I'm sure they are doing their best and nobody is perfect. Including us... I think expectations could have been set better but it is what it is,

What would really make me laugh is if the date was mis-entered in the video!

That's it from me though. Now I'm back to just waiting and watching.

Basically, I see it exactly so.
What you can reproach Razbam is their miserable communication. I would not have brought the cold and dark video under the circumstances yet, to give an example. They had to know what those who see it think. Because they themselves have ensured. To then wonder that people are angry is a little strange.

I don't get it. This seems very disingenuous that it's good enough for the freeloading Youtube DH's but us paying customers have to wait?. Now it seems that we will have to wait 2 more months while these knobs are playing and learning it on our dime?. Doesn't make much sense either as it's not going to make huge numbers of sales (the people who will want it have mostly paid for it) but it is going to annoy those of us who have paid our damned money.

I think you could look at it this way. If they know the release is in July then a lot of the videos coming out now aren't aimed at us - the people that have already pre-ordered. We committed ages ago and we just have to wait for release. They're aimed at the people that haven't pre-ordered - get them interested to sell more copies.

Watch them or not, that's our choice. No point in getting annoyed with it....

To be 'fully released' it'd have to be feature complete. Considering what we already know won't be in the first EA release then not a cat in hell's chance that prediction is correct.

1. Assuming is never a good idea.

2. Never take me seriously.

3. It was a joke line having to do with them delaying their preorder, no one is blaming anyone for anything.

4. It'll be released in two weeks!

Happy flying!

You're making quite big assumptions there though about the stability/state of the release the "freeloading Youtube DH's" have.

There's a reasonable case to be made that they're peaking a little too soon with the hype train if it is still 5-9 weeks out (preview builds could still be issued to third parties and content could still be made under embargo that it isn't released until 2-3 weeks out from a committed-to date). Otherwise though, 'its ready when its ready' and there's no logical reason they'd sit on it if it had already been through QA and was genuinely fit for release right now.

Maybe they're applying the Star Trek 'Scotty Principle of Estimation' where you overestimate time needed and then appear to overdeliver when you smash that deadline 😉

From what I'm reading elsewhere the release date was supposed to be in June, hence the start of all the videos, and only very recently have ED/RB taken the decision to move it to July.

I think you're completely wrong on this one. A massive portion of the community doesn't use the forum at all and may not even be aware that there was a strike eagle to preorder.

"Full release" is likely 2+ years away.

Those Youtube-Influencers are just a modern marketing channel. It is advertising. They are attention multipliers. It makes no sense at all to hate on them or be jaelous. It has nothing to do with you preordering. You are a customer. They are means or tools.

One could argue about the timing to start such a marketing campaign and personally I'd put it closer to EA-release. But other than that......

It kinda got disgusting reading this thread.
Expectations, assumptions, demands, one can only get disappointed believing what is floating around here (and elsewhere).
