Just got my preorder, although I suspect I'll have to wait a bit longer, as I prefer stable branch.

Thanks for the purchase. Yes there will be a wait for the stable version, but as soon as we are happy the open beta is working well we will start thinking about the stable update.

thanks

If all is well for a beta release tomorrow or the day after, why not say it now, anyway no later than 2 weeks if a critical bug pops up. 🚦

Post an early access date... ⌛Update is planned for Thursday 17th of March 2022

It is a standard software development life cycle (SDLC), and it is required lots of rounds to make the software closes to "perfect" possible.

Completly valid choice, but for DCS - from my experience - Openbeta is not a problem or big risk.

Depends of course on what exactly you intend to do in DCS, but for single players, from my POV, there is very little to fear from the Beta branch.

See it this way: OB and stable often have the same version number. Usually, I'd say, there is a delay between OB and stable of 4 weeks or so.

You can either wait four weeks for Stable, or just don't touch a messed up module for the same amount of time and fly something else. And in the end , you can always go back to the last version (which is usually identical with current stable release). There may be deviations from this pattern, but most of the time this holds true.

Will apache come now on the 17th?

For everyone else - yes, probably.

You are now on a blacklist though, that has to wait another four weeks - just for the LOLs! 🤣
