Any news on this? I don’t use mods but I’d do so just for this. It looks incredible.

Too be honest, I wish the Ka-52 had been done from the start instead of the single seater.

The 52 has been seen predominately in the Ukraine war. Over the years its been said by JANEs and other analysts in military circles that the Ka-52 was a rare bird and used mostly to escort the single seat KA50s but actual use shows the 52 has been used a heck of a lot more in combat history and on its own and the Ka50 has not been used as much .

 

Besides, it was in the legendary sim- EECH and was one of my faves in that simulator. (Still an awesome sim on its own sporting a dynamic campaign which sadly, modern sims do not offer andit  has aged quite well.)

 

Really looking forward to this module.

A lot of the systems on the Ka52 are classified, like most in-service Russian aircrafts. It would be impossible (and likely illegal) to simulate a Ka 52 systems accurately, especially given how much service they are seeing.

I follow this mod closely and very curious about what systems will be simulated, likely it will be mostly a "port" of KA 50 systems with a Ka 52 model and flight model - I will let the developer complete this statement. 

Ka 50 is more of a "tech demonstator" and saw very limiter service in the Caucasus in early 2000s.

Given how many KA-52 have been captured intact during the current war and those that have also been at air shows for some years, I doubt its that classified now. Except of course for maybe some systems not seen in export models which can't be that much.

Besides, Egypt also uses an export version and they have a lot of them.

This is the same misconception that is perpetually repeated in the Mig 29 thread.

It doesn’t matter if the information are already leaked (by documents or captured or acquired airframes). If a government still enforces restrictions, it will punish any (commercial) use of the information. (when it has the means to do so).

And governments (east and west) simply couldn’t care less if that is logical or makes any sense to us.

Its just a mod. It wont be deeply simulated

They mentioned earlier in the thread that things like radar are worked on, but not right away. 

So it's not unreasonable to assume there will be some simple AI target designation for the WSO (like petrovich in Hind or George in Apache).

They are working very hard on the detail of the model, so I am assuming they are also going to work hard on making it flyable in combat. 

So why I ask.

Hmm... well the Ka-52 can carry additional weapons and the fire control system allows asymmetric loadouts.
