Hiob Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I found it a bit easier to spot switches and knobs in the shadowed areas (battery switch e.g.). I'm not quite sure, if I'm imagining it or if they tuned the gamma a little. 1 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"

It was a question for the other users about impressions, not what is described in the last changelog (what we see of course). It's easy to understand I suppose. So its not fixed still after one month, hard to tell me why, it's easy to fix it by developer matching mix of new set of colours and PBR effects. The next OB patch perhaps will be in the second part of September. Pity. And yes, the last patch with the provisional fix has improved it. 1

Anyway, I can't see a difference. I'm pushing 50 and have gamma on default. Could be it of course! Doesn't matter as I know where everything is now anyway. 1

I'm 47 I can't remember, what the Gamma Default sitting was, but I use 1.5. and with this setting you definitely see an improvement 2

Spoiler I suspect you are french and misleaded by the "eventually" word as used in english, which has slightly different meaning than in french. 2
felixx75 Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I like real dark nights in games, so i usually use low gamma settings 1
Loukuins Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Got 2.0 or 2.2 and looks very nice indeed, use the correct game of your screen, mine is the same of my screen and in game My Setup : i5-4690 3.50GHz + 24GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz + MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus OC + 2 SSD + 4 HDD + Oculus Rift CV1 + TM T.16000M Hotas Super Etendard for Life !
Rudel_chw Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 I use a Gamma of 1.8 and the cockpit looks fine to me: For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Hiob Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 (edited) Don’t forget, that the gamma (and brightness/contrast) of your monitor has also influence on the perceived result. So the mileage may vary between different users. Edit: Looking at your screenshots on my iPad - they look indeed perfectly fine! Flappie Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 So, how is the cockpit now in DCS 2.7.17.29493? ---
