DCS: BS3 (KA-50_3) English HUD, Shkval & PUI-800 Mod

Hi.

This mod is adapted from KA-50_2 to display the HUD, PUI-800 Weapon Display and Shkval screens in English.

This is the list of translations:

  • HUD:
    Auto-Tracking: ТА to AT
    Memory Mode: П to M
    Laser Range-Finder Active: ИД to LA
    Beam-Riding Laser Channel Active: ИУ to LC
    Pause: ПАУЗА to PAUSE
    R-ALT Symbol: Р to R
    INU Normal Warm-up: ИКВ НВ to INU/NW
    Processing Target Point: ОТ to PT
    Updating Coordinates: КОРР to COOR
    Launch Authorized (Shoot): С to S
    Training Mode: ТРЕНАЖ to TRAINING
    Ground Collision: H to G
    Weapon Types: IGLA, RKT and AT (Anti-Tank)

 

  • SHKVAL:
    TG Symbol (Ground stabilized): ТГ to ST
    TA Symbol (Auto-Tracking): ТA to AT
    P Symbol (Memory mode): П to M
    C Symbol (Launch Authorized): С to S
    Ground Collision: H to G

 

  • PUI-800
    Rockets: НР to RK
    Anti-tank Missiles: ПС to AT
    Bombs: 6Б to BB
    Gun Pod: ПП to CP
    Missiles: supposed to be "AA" but there's a little bug there. You'll see "AM" or something like that.

Awsome, Nice job!

I found some minor bugs though, first when you push the hardpoint selector switch to engage with Iglas, the timer shows seconds as "C" (In the HUD missile page lua) - "CONNECT MSL PWR", "READY %02dC", "%02dC"  --> "READY %02dS", "%02dS" should fix that

And in the INU status (HUD NAV COMMON page lua)  - "INU\FW", "INU\NW", "CALIB 180", "CALIB 0"  -   should be    - INU\nFW", "INU\nNW", "CALIB 180", "CALIB 0" - to corectly show on the HUD as INU/FW instad of INUFW/

Guys, by the way, as DragonSoulkin said in User Files section, unfortunately this mod can't pass Integrity Check in multiplayer. It was OK for the previous mod for BS2, but obviously ED  did something and changed it. Sorry.

No worries, that’s what Mod Managers are for, I will leave it enabled while re-training and just disable it if I ever go back to MP 😇

Are you installing it in the DCS root folder (not saves games)?

Did a bunch of flying yesterday/last night, and this mod works in the latest OB version.

I use OvGME and the Mod does work for me, check the installation path that you configured OvGME with ... it's not /Saved Games/

Hey Devrim.

Firstly, thank you for this MOD, it's great. I also want to share what I noticed after installing it regarding the Air-Air missile selection and the incorrect name showing in the Weapon Control Panel. The bit you say may be a bug, saying in AM instead of AA. Hopefully my pictures attached will help.

I think it has something to do with trigger selection. When you have AA missiles selected and the large weapon trigger down in place and active, you get the error show in the weapon control panel. BUT, if you select the cannon trigger, which means lifting the large weapon trigger (key C) you'll see the correct AA name appear on the weapon control panel. Weird I know, but there may be something in that you can work with.

EDIT: I've also just noticed if you activate the cannon trigger (Key C) while rockets or Vikhr's are selected, their stores information disappears altogether from the Weapon Control Panel, unlike the Air -Air missiles, then reappears when you close the trigger down. Again, I'm not sure if there is anything in that, but it may help.

I just tired what you said about resetting the weapon system, but it made no difference. Well, not for me anyway.

What happens if you uninstall the mod? Is the behaviour the same?
