I downloaded the updated USA pack, installed it into the Mods/tech folder of my saved games file, but a bunch of the units are either missing completely or have no textures. Avimimus Posted May 15 Posted May 15 A suggestion: The 358 / Saqr would be very interesting. Getting accurate performance data might be difficult - but the idea of a slow LOAL loitering missile is fascinating. It'd be very interesting for helicopter pilots especially.

If it's a general question or issue it would be best in the mission editor or core section of the forum. Also give a little more detail, like can you create your own missions in the editor. I don't use the Quick mission so can't advise. If you want to add units to your own mission they're listed on the left hand side of the ME.
Floyd1212 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 (edited) I'm going to be honest, I did not read all 248 pages of this thread, but I did do a quick search for "S350" and didn't see anyone discussing the issue I am having... Some of the people that fly in my helo squadron are experiencing FPS issues when looking in the direction of an S350 site. The site is still 100km away, but frames drop to 10-15 fps when looking toward it, and come back to 60 fps when looking away from it. More than one squad-mate have described this to me. I don't see the same issue on my machine, but I have experienced issues after launching a Hellfire at the SR or STR from an Apache. I can spot the radars in the TADS and lase them, and everything is fine. But as soon as I rifle, my FPS drops to single digits for as long as the missile is in flight. Then when it destroys the target, my frames are back to normal. Anyone else experiencing FPS issues related to the S350 assets? Regardless, I'm having this weird issue with the Current Hill S350 assets where so much as having their location in my FOV will tank my fps down to unplayable levels. If I look away, fps goes back up. This happens even if the site is miles away behind mountains, where I would think the textures and graphics shouldn't be loaded... I haven't been able to get within eyesight of them because, like I said, unplayable fps even from miles away when looking at them. I'm not totally sure what's causing this... The obvious possibility is that loading their high quality textures and displaying them to too much for my poor computer, but given that this issue happens even when I can't actually see the units, just are looking in their general direction, I feel that's unlikely. In addition, this issue seems to only exist with the S350 units. All other CH units do not exhibit this issue... Is this a known bug? If it is, any suggestions on how to alleviate the symptoms? (OTHER than just not looking at them, which is not a very good solution lol). If it is a new issue that's not been reported, feel free to respond with whatever questions you may have. ED still hasn't fixed their <profanity>ty replay system so sadly I can't attach one. Well, not one that works... I have attached my dcs log file for the flight. Every few mins (I think every time I look in the direction of the S350) I'll get huge lists of the same error "ERROR ED_SOUND (Main): invalid host position(Shell-n) : [x, y, z]" so maybe that has something to with it? And I've tried reinstalling it, but it doesn't work. Even if you download the fa-18 Super Hornet mode on the mission editor, it won't pop up. Same goes for f-15ex

I noticed it makes a shallower climb when compared to the SM-2MR which seems to have a higher loft profile upon launch from either the Ticonderoga or the Burke, gaining altitude much quicker. The SM-6 just seems to fly straight towards its target rather than try to get the most range by climbing into thinner air quicker. Wasn't sure if this is intended or a bug.
