did a quick try with a Seawise giant..a Tarawa and a Burke.. all 3 of them had same behaviour.. the floaters bounce a lot and also dont grip at all and the helicopter begins to slide backwards.. did a quick video (warning.. lame flying skills follow, view at discrection)

 

 

The third attempt in the Tarawa i tried lowering the throttle to idle but no effect..it kept sliding backwards

 

Found a fix. It was the problem that the physics did not distinguish between hard surface over sea and sea. Comes with the next update

I can't even land skillful enough to land on a boat, let alone making a video...

Not sure if its been reported or not, but Im seeing the engine tach all over the place when I throttle up to 100%.  Its just the tach itself, not the rotor rpm or any other gauge. I checked my bindings to make sure its not a conflict and there wasnt...and the aircraft flies and handles just fine so I think its an animation or something else problem. Using the latest version. I can post a track if needed, I can replicate it easily.

Just a video to illustrate the little problem with other mods, not all the boats from EightBall and not all helipads from Upuaut, not so important I can use Suspension.lua V1.3, just for information

You should start to increase the throttle when n1 stabilized at 60. And you should increase it slowly.

It did the same thing when I had it rolled all the way to idle. Coincidentally, this training mission doesnt get past the 60% I did this method just to get the video out and the gauges still do this. When I roll it to 100% you can see the gauge just drop 20% or more, and barely just rolling it left or right throws the needle all over the place.

Just to clarify something, my throttle acts strangely when I start to throttle up. The throttle lock on my collective doesnt act normally and Im still trying to get used to how it works.

can you do the video again? with enabled control overlay? for me the training mission works well. Switch to idle is done by pressing a key not be increasing the throttle right?

its how my throttle works. To lock it in place I have to roll it towards me while holding the button down and then itll push the button in. I have to continue rotating it to lock. Its wonky to me Ill change my throttle axis too and check it out further.

 

Ill upload the new video momentarily. Yes, its doing the same thing. Notice I took my time with the throttle. You can see I made certain the throttle was working correctly before I started up.

Why are you reducing the throttle again? Keep it at 100%. The gov will do the rest than. If you reduce it again you disable and enable the gov again and again.

Increase n2 slowly close to 100% and then open throttle completely ans don't change it again

I did that just to show you what its doing when I touch the throttle. I know how to work the governor and I know to keep the engine at 100% while in operation. I know the governor is used to fine tune engine power and trimming engine speed.

Thanks for the vid, I guess it's also an issue with the collision box, similar to the VAP FARPs. I'll check the CAP Ships tomorrow.

Tobi, 8Ball: 2-3 thins i experienced. Please note, that i play very picky. So decide by yourself if you want to adress it or not.

During Engine Start, the Raise of the Temp should be a bit Quicker and not going over the Red Line. 750, to 770 is a normal start Temp, 

There should be 2 Peaks at around 25% N1 and 35ish

You can see here that the needle slows down and then continues to raise

You should be able to release the Starter at 56-58% N1 (In the Book its 58 but in the RealWorld it works also a bit earlier.

Idle 60% is the minimum you should have as per the Engine MM, standart is 63% (60 to 65)

 

When doing slope landings, the Cyclic feels less responsive. a few degrees bank towards the hill and youre not able to recover. 

At the End of an AR, when cushion the Landing, it behaves as it would have a torque on the Tail, so you have to Push Power Pedal. Can you please Check? Im not able to post a track until sunday

You mean cushion the landing by pulling collective? That needs counteracting of the MR torque

Correct, but with a closed throttle there is no torque

True, which speed? it might come together with other effects due to lowering speed? There is the tail rotor blockage effect at low speeds or maybe the induced inflow effect on empenage.

Not sure what you want me to check, once I get the throttle to 100% its all over the place. Its not the throttle and the engine performance isnt affected. It looks to be merely an animation issue.

 

On a side note, I also noticed that it hot starts. Right over 40% it exceeds the maximum TOT.
