I pre-ordered the entire map of Iraq
for me personally it's better than splitting it up
what's done is no longer to be done.

I'm not talking about mission creation. Quick start - airfield deserted, nothing moving anywhere, there should be more life by default. Like option "populate airport" or something like that. We have been asking for this from very start....

Yes, of course, this is the most advantageous option financially, but on the other hand I think that sooner or later, someone who buys part of the map will eventually buy the rest.

Any word on if iranian fields will be added, they are in the "high  detail" area but don't see anything listed. Major mistake if not.

Hi pre-purchase started on the  18th October 2024 and we plan to finish pre-purchase late in Q4 2024

It would be great if they could provide an option to combine both Iraq and Persian Gulf into one single terrain for those of us who have licensed both. It would be awesome for long range missions as back in the day with Microprose's F-19 Stealth Fighter and also this:

Agree, and I would loooooce an F-19 mod!
We have Kola and Germany/Central Europe is coming for sure. Now we need Sinaï to expand west to Libya and North to Sicilia.

Would be great, but I'm pretty sure you're reading way too much into that.  I don't doubt they'll add detail to edges, but ED has already said that PG (and other older maps) was built on a completely technology than that newer maps so they'd pretty much have to start from scratch to add the PG parts to the Iraq map.  Or wait for the new "global" map at some point (likely in the longer term, if we're dreaming maybe the medium term) that will cover both areas.

My three year PC and VR upgrade programme early next year just got the sign off after seeing these new images. Looks absolutely incredible.

Although I appreciate your response, I wouldn't really call it a solution, I was looking for a release date. I already knew it was going to be 'Late in Q4 2024', and you ain't lyin. I was thinking of ordering it for my son also, but if it isn't gonna be released by Christmas then there goes one of my gift ideas. That is why I wanted an actual date. But no worries... Have a great day.

The mountains that you can see in the pictures are most often related to the border with Iran. True, they are just mountains, but part of this area will be done. It would be good to have 2-3 airports for the Iranian side as well. This will expand the simulation of conflicts to include the Iran-Iraq war, especially when the MiG-17 comes out.

Nah! It's grey, so it means one doesn't have a license or not installed. SO!!! Maybe it's imminent? Or coming before Christmas?

These are like ads and you can pre-purchase the map already so it's all by design.
