Don’t worry, @Silver_Dragon and others will be along soon to tell you not to believe what you see.

And I’ll bet you $63 that our totally unbiased moderator will be back soon to quietly delete all of this…

Even they seem to have forgotten that they also have a DCS map.

edit: thanks to @Malakhit

there seems to be a difference between aircraft and the map:

I should hope that anyone with any sense is unwilling to work for free.

Nothing has changed, they're just responding to feedback that they received about the modules still showing up on their own website.

and we shouldnt have to...but we occasionally do.

A glass jaw is of no use when in the world of DCS.

But the possibility of loosing many modules & a map is in a different league.

Hmm what will happen to older modules such as the harrier etc. will they still be compatible with future versions of DCS or will they fall by the wayside ?

Isn't it about time we had some kind of formal statement from ED about the future of all RAZBAM products currently in DCS ?

Cheers

Jafa.

For the record RAZBAM have access to the tools they need and their repositories are open if they wish to update their modules.

F-15E buyers managed to, post purchase, pull back 50% of what they paid and told the powers that be "Until certain criteria are met our payments will no longer be supported".

Well, I do it the other way: I withhold 100% payments for new modules "until certain criteria are met" to gain trust to support the DCS business again.😉

I suggest you look at the Razbam Discord Harrier FAQ section before considering the AV-8.  I found it very enlightening, both for where it is and what one can expect in future (pending future change).

I do not have discord but I'm curious, can you summarize? The av-8b is one of my favourite planes but I do not have the module because I never trusted RB (and it still lacks a manual, an unbelievable anomaly for a "finished"(?) product).

The harrier was to get a full update with some of the new stuff developed for the SE incorporated and got rid of "old code" so it will take some time after we catch up, but keep in mind it all depends on this situation being over 1st

It's obvious they do not want. It seems that ED is more interested in keeping RB than RB in staying.

No matter what is going on 'higher up' behind the scenes, what I think customers all agree on is that it is not fair that customers are not informed about the (current/projected) lack of support and the uncertain future before purchase and only getting in-store credit in return when they find out about it.

On ED Discord the standard response is "early-access", but this is quite obviously not that simple.

Studying, practicing and falling in love with a module is a big investment.

We understand, but due to the nature of this disagreement we have to wait for a resolution before any more comments can be made.

thank you

Not sure about that. There's one very important tool that they're missing at the moment...

Working for free doesn't pay the bills.

But yeah I guess they should totally be grinding away while not getting paid. But here they are still putting in some work here and there. Just because it doesn't make the patch notes doesn't mean they're not doing anything.

What tool? The will?

Rhymes with honey. Can be used to keep a roof over your head and food in your belly. Can't quite put my finger on the term.

Also, with regards to the will - you know that Metal2Mesh has been working on futher features for the Strike Eagle, right? They haven't stopped working despite this unfortunate situation.

Well, they keep playing with the customers. Sure it has the long requested finnished manual. Next week it was going to be the MIG19, but you know...

South Atlantic team work somewhat differently; as far as I can tell, their product is published by Razbam, but is not developed by Razbam. The core devs actually work for Orbx in their "day jobs" and are responsible for Kola.

Are you kidding me? There are many many ED modules that are every bit as good or better as this early access/maybe forever early access F-15.  It might be too much work to take on RB's code, but let's get real when we're talking about "quality".

Name ONE that released in a better EA state than the SE.

There aren't any.

The AH64 was decent but still lacked enough features and had enough multicrew issues to be extremely frustrating.

Maybe ED couldn't and maybe can't remove RB's modules from the store, to avoid non-contractual actions. But now that RB itself has put an official statement on its website, perhaps a link to that statement on the razbam modules store pages could be added? Just asking.
