That's the simple answer

If this half-finished module remains, the F-15E we want will never be able to fly with DCS.

Right now it looks perfect on the outside, but it's junk on the inside.

Are you satisfied with this F15E?

What will happen to the F-15ES module if the legal dispute with Razbam does not go well?

Losing a module?

Is development going to end with the current half-finished module?

I think it would be good to announce what they're planning to do.

Users who bought it on Steam can't even get a refund, and it's still on sale 😅

I was answering your original question, not defending the module. Yeah, you might wind up with "this half-finished module", or even no module at all. Or you might wind up with the module made by a team with more commitment to delivering than Razbam. That is the answer to your original question. I haven't flown the mudhen much and don't intend to, what I do know is that no one - including Razbam - would argue it's complete.

Name one module which is 100% feature-complete and bug free?

Not a dig at anyone but the nature of the product is that neither DCS nor any of the modules will ever really be 'completed'.  They are constantly evolving, being added to, tweaked, fixed and improved.

The F-15E is still perfectly useable, even if not complete.

Perhaps so, but it doesn't make it any less useable.

Complete = Finished its development cycle, not in EA or product sustainment. The fact that adjustments and bug squashing might happen later doesn't mean that the mature modules in the game are not complete, and there is no equivalence between a module part-way through EA, sold under the EA policy, and a mature module sold according to its product description which might get a later improvement. So you asked to name one module? The MiG-21. Would be great if they squashed the many bugs with that and improved - well name anything more or less - but if that happened, it wouldn't change the fact that its complete at this moment.

On usability you could well be right about the mudhen; my main ride is the F-14, that module isn't complete either but it's perfectly usable and I'd happily take it as it is (having bought it for the -B).

"We cannot continue to support the platform or maintain our modules..."

If I'm not mistake, they have not been supporting the platform or maintaining their modules. My intention here is not to opine whether they are contractually in the right, or not, but just stating a fact. What is the point of this post other than to remind us of the obvious? There is still no resolution in sight.

If RZ and DCS end their working relationships, RZ will get the raw deal. Their customized modules for ED would likely require significant rework to work on a different platform. DCS customers lose access to their favorite RZ planes and map.

It seems ED is not worried about resolving the dispute, especially due to no noteworthy updates. Ignoring a problem just by managing it for over a year is poor management practice.

The point was to remind us of the obvious, tug on our heartstrings (count the loaded words!), and presumably get us to lean on ED to get the situation resolved ASAP, that is, by the means of ED accepting whatever resolution RAZBAM is pushing. It's obvious both sides have different, incompatible visions of how to end this situation, and what RAZBAM is doing here is attempting to tip the scales using public pressure. It's not the first time it happened, the first leak also seemed to be of this nature.

That said, they do make a good point about transparency. Legal requirements might prevent us from getting a full picture, but for now it seems RAZBAM had been more forthcoming than ED. Whether this is because of differences in company culture, or because RAZBAM genuinely has a better case, we don't know. If nothing else, RAZBAM managed to make themselves look better than ED. That said, they might as well be resorting to the court of public opinion because they know they're better at PR than ED, not because their case has actual merit, so beware of assumptions.

This is hardly what is happening, the only thing we are not doing is making public statements as it is, once again, a legal matter to be dealt with in the appropriate way. I am not sure if we made a similar statement to what was made today that would help anything.

We still aim to resolve as we have from the start.

I don't know who is right or wrong. I just know it is a loss for many owners/fans of Razbam DCS modules like me if this dispute cannot be resolved in a way acceptable to both parties. I not only want the existing modules I already own to continue to work for years to come but was looking forward to all of the Razbam products that were currently in development. I already got burned on the Hawk/P-40. This time, I will be losing a lot more aircraft/money as I own all of the released Razbam modules. If this doesn't get resolved, I will make sure I don't ever get burned again by not spending another dime on DCS World products despite my love for this sim and my desire for it to be around for many years to come.

It really feels like an effort to poison the well ala Tim Sweeney pointing out Valve's take from Steam sales.

The A-10CII? 🤔

Once it has the pilot, that thing will probably be as close as it gets.

I hope so. I wish I won the lotto, I'd buy RAZBAM out for these reasons:

#1. Stop the damn drama

#2. See 1

#3. Ensure we keep aviation history alive as DCS World code evolves over time.  Keeping aviation history alive should be The. #1. Goal. Here.

The fact they granted RB access back to tools and are still going this route is evident to anyone not playing internet super sleuth.
