Mustang Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Excellent model Krieger, and don't reduce the detail too much, this is 2010 :D 1
TOMCATZ Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010  you have to be strong hardware. I`, curioso how it will work in an online game. My best wishes, TOM Born to fly but forced to work.

Agg Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 If you use LODs there shouldnt be much of a problem. But even if you dont, I would much rather have a great looking high poly model that makes my system sweat than something low poly.
104th_Crunch Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I would look at the excellent GYS F-15 and 3GO Su-27. I am sure both teams tested for FPS extensively so they would be a good comparison of how many polys to use at what LOD settings etc. Work is looking great! Thanks for the update.
SVKSniper Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 New model For all Lockon comunity its good would to do one with high detail and one with low detail..... Support my work
59th_Reaper Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 Guys, guys! You will have two chances: use these models or not... Sorry, but it's not "wish show". We're living in 2010. We'll making some LODs, but not low poly models... The model making it takes long, so please don't cry along! Thx! 2 Two tails, two engines! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted August 14, 2010 ED Team Posted August 14, 2010 Guys, guys! You will have two chances: use these models or not... Sorry, but it's not "wish show". We're living in 2010. We'll making some LODs, but not low poly models... Thx! Totally agree. I'm still quite suprised people still asking about low fps when seeing a new model. High poly count was a "problem" like 5 years ago, not by todays standards. IMO anyway :) 2 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page
Blaze Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Agree as well. :) 1 i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. You can want it, you can ask for it, but you don't automatically deserve it. "
JaNk0 Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 I don't mind playing @ 10 fps as long as that sweet model is in my LO [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Blaze Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 If your pc specs fall between the minimum and recommended requirements for FC2 then a high-poly model should run fine on your pc. And if it doesn't then like Reaper said don't use it. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. Kuky Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 maybe some people need to upgrade their PC and once they did I wonder if they'd still be wanting to play with low poly models ;) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Presing Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I use the Tomcatz Migy highly ditail and i didn't see to much drop of FPS. For now this is great work, keep it going :thumbup::thumbup:. Rocket brigade who retired F-117
