IMHO the benefit of DCS as a winner will be twofold. First another tag to put on any advertisment ("Voodoo... hands down winner...!"), second - free advertisment. I bet this contest will be the cause of the highest number of Sims fans checking out DCS of any other causes.

 

P.S. I think "World of Goo" should be there too... Brilliant piece of software - lots of physics => lots of fun. If you want to get your girlfriend a game and "remain hardcore", buy her "World of Goo" :D Just remember to rip off the price tag because the game is dirt cheap;)

In fact, Voodoo Extreme was sent all the Black Shark press releases but failed to post a single one. Blue's News and Worthplaying were much better though.

Dragon Age is the best game of 2009 period.

But for the sake of a second golden age of simulation, I've voted for DCS again :)

If you pick up the most voted 2009 categories, shotter Killing Floor has 1604 votes, simulation DCS 1600 and then it comes rpg Dragon Age with 1359. So pretty nice positioned for DCS to be the overall winner.

 

Do you think a new thread will work better? ppl might not notice there is a new and definitive poll.

I also agree that Bioware's Dragon Age is probably the best game of 2009. But I still voted for Black Shark since I know I'll be playing it A LOT longer than I will Dragon Age. Probably have had and will continue having more hours of fun with DCS than I have/will with Dragon Age.

 

It would be totally awesome if Black Shark managed to get in second or even third place though! Imagine people going - huh? wtf is that getting such high scores in the poll that I've never heard about - that would really increase simulation awareness imo!
