Duke49th Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 (edited) Yes, noticed and unhappy:( I don't have FC, I don't want FC. I want the Apache Module. And this needs first the A-10 Module(would also be nice to have ;)). And the longer the A-10 takes, the longer the Apache takes. Oh, and before I forget...I want a new engine (okay, not really, just Mutlithreading and 64 bit .exe:music_whistling:) Sorry, but that's all what is going through my mind when I read this. Why does the FC2.0 Patch have priority over the A-10? (I read it this way) But, Groove or EvilBivol-1, does the FC2.0 supports the A-10 Module? And maybe also the upcoming Apache Module? 159th_Viper Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Why does the FC2.0 Patch have priority over the A-10? (I read it this way) Where have you been the last 4 Years.........:music_whistling: The Vast Majority of the Customer-Base have been waiting a very Long time for the advent of the 2.0 'Patch'. Many a Storm has been Weathered, ranging from Polite and Conscise Debate and Requests to Holocausts, Hell and Damnation.....:furious: Souls were Lost, but the Battle was Won. No Doubt about it, the Community NEEDS this Update, Where we once Stood on the Precipice of Disaster re Gameplay insofar as 1.12a/b is Concerned, 2.0 will change all that and Breath Fresh Life into LockOn. I dare say the Market needs it - To abandon LockOn would have been Marketing Suicide and Community Genocide! ED have come through and as far as I am Concerned take all the Time that is needed. What is the Rush, after all. Hobbies are by their very nature Fluid. Renato71 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I would be very happy to see true support for localizations, unlike in DCS where you can do it, but your are on your own as how to "crack the code" and enable your localization. There are delays on account of langs that I'm not going to use. Let them do it at their own pace, like on Linux localizations. Whats the harm in that :) As for DCS modules, its weird to bother with A-10 module while you will have A-10 with FC2, no? I'm interested in two-seater helicopters only. Apache will do fine until Mi-24, I do not care about US planes much. European, yes :D 1 I'm selling MiG-21 activation key. Also selling Suncom F-15E Talon HOTAS with MIDI connectors, several sets. Duke49th Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 (edited) Where have you been the last 4 Years.........:music_whistling: Flying Falcon 4 AF :music_whistling: (Look my join date please!) Sorry to sound hard, but I don't give a ** about FC, because I don't have it. I have bought Black Shark. ANd one of the major reason is because it has sayed that there will be more Modules. It was sayed that they will come out every 9 month after the release of the Module before. It was also said that the ME was some great tool to do nearby everything you want. Simply untrue. There is not even the possibility to stop&go a convoy/vehicle, otherwise then delete&"respawn" it. (In other words with much dirty workarounds you can get some of what you need...) The other major reason why I want to have the A-10 or the Apache Module is because I want to have(beside to have the aircrafts itself I mean); a) new engine with Multicore/threading Support (and 64 bit .exe?) or b) Patch with Multicore/threading Support (64 .exe would be nice too, but is not a must) AND c) Better ME functions (and also that kind of Mission Planner) and maybe a campaign or some kind of auto mission building engine - so we do not have to build missions for hours over hours Don't get me wrong, I understand the people that eager awaiting a patch....but for me personally, it is wasted time...;) Edited some text.... And even the dirty workaround is limited because they put a flag-limit of 99 in the ME. I could think about realistic missions with interaction to the actual battlefield which needs far far more than 99 flags ... 1
element1108 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Duke if you bought black shark primarily because of other modules or because it was stated lightly they'd like to release the modules 9 months apart you bought it for the wrong reasons. The team will do what it feels is best and as a result we in the end will get a solid product true sim fans can appreciate. Merging compatability and updaing lockon is big news for the majority of this community. The longer time between modues will most likely yield a better and more refined end product. So in the meantime enjoy falcon and black shark and stop making the game 100% about you. (no offense). I personally am thankful for the update and it helps keep a positive relationship with the devs when people don't jump to conclusions or shit over whatever progress news they may have. Ofp dragon rising was rushed and th game failed because of it.
4c Hajduk Veljko Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Eagle Dynamics is making very sound decision in releasing the Flaming Cliffs 2.0. *Rage* Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Id love to know what ED are intending with a 64bit exe, multicore support etc.. This has big implications for those of us (me included) investing big money in upgrades precisely to run FC2/DCS better. EtherealN Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Renato, it's not that they "bother" with an A10. It's that they got the opportunity to make an A10C that is as close to a military-grade simulator as you will ever get without becoming an air force pilot. ;) And, indeed, in some respects it is "better" than a military-grade simulator, since military sims place a much lesser import on eyecandy. And remember that the A10A and the A10C is not just the flip of a letter in the name and some extra buttons in the cockpit. The Precision Engagement upgrades are quite far reaching, and I remember it being quoted that the conversion training for real A10 pilots is a full three months (sadly I don't recall the source for that). So even beyond the technicalities like 6DOF, clickable cockpit, high-fidelity simulation of avionics and weapons and flight model - it's a very different bird to the one you have in FC. I, for one, can't wait to deliver some 30mm Party Mix on target. :) Thanks for the update Wags. Good things coming this year! Renato71 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 A-10A, A-10C, A-10UNGH.... whats the difference? If there would be Su-17 or Mi-24, I' would buy every version :) And, unlike A-10XYZ, there are other aircraft that are/were operational in more then one country. Thats why I am happy about FC2. Although it features some oddities, it gives you more fun - and choice - for the same price :) I'm selling MiG-21 activation key.
