As most of you, and I am delighted by contracting third developers with ED, I look forward to announcements of new aircraft. But since they are usually announced in airplanes so to speak of Western (NATO) countries, DCS simulation will not be so interesting, if hasn't modern Russian fighters (multirole fighter) and fighter-bombers. Also it would be good if given soon and AH-64 and Mi-28.

AH64 Longbow

Hello all.

This is my first post and I wanted to share this. I'd like to have the Longbow as a future option for DCS. I really miss the hellfire attacks and avionics from Jane's Longbow series and multiplayer sharing the same Longbow and sharing targets on the MFDs.

THanks!

With the F-15E in the works who ever does this will truly make my life complete. I would love an F-4E so bad I can taste it (it tastes like exhaust and fear if your curious). A G model would be nice too so we can do SEAD in Big Ugly as well but for something that doesn't even remotely exist AFIK I'm not going to dream TOO big :p

You're dreaming.

I suspect not for much longer though

Quote taken from SIMHQ forum:

A: Molly Wagstaff: Yes, our next DCS aircraft will indeed be a very popular U.K./Italian/German variable wing aircraft. It is too early to lift the curtain on it, but based on our customers feedback, we are confident there will be a lot of very happy flight simmers.

Trust me! I't a fake. They're dead wrong ... the quote that I've got says something quite different (see above). I think it's just wishful thinking on the OP's part. :P

Oh, and let me be the first to welcome Molly Wagstaff (whom I presume is helping out with DCS announcements), to the High Fidelity Digital Combat Flight Simulator Community (H.F.D.C.S.C). Welcome Molly! :D

Edited by Teapot

"A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft."

Wishlist Terrains - Bigger maps

Wishlist Modules - A variety of utility aircraft to better reflect the support role. E.g. Flying the Hornet ... big yawn ... flying a Caribou on a beer run to Singapore? Count me in. Extracting a Recon Patrol from a hastily prepared landing strip at a random 6 figure grid reference? Now yer talking!

You do know that F-16D is a two "seater" Block 25 to 52+, so the tittle should have been a clue of its validity or accuracy.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

Out of curiosity, are there any plans for a flyable Su-34 in DCS World?

I'm loving the idea of the stuff that's been announced, but sometimes you just want to try something... Hmm, a little different you know what I mean?

Saw the huge thread on the Su-34 in the Russian forums, but can't read any of it lol. Figured it would be a fun fast attack plane to add to the library for DCS.

One option that wasn't included with the AV-8B Harrier II, and I wouldn't be opposed to it. It has plenty of documentation, and VTOL would offer some new gameplay mechanics. Newer versions have enhanced radar and AIM-120C compatibility, so aerial combat isn't out of the question.

Also, who wants DCS Sputnik?

It will be the F-16 which version? i dunno because ED isn't working on the F18 as we found out today.

F-16IN Super Viper, obviously... not.
