OK, due to some requests, i've created a version with full road markings :)

 

I'll have it uploaded within the hour.

Mustang, have you tried adding the stop line on intersections? I think it should work because intersection textures are separate

Work is ongoing with the high resolution version of the roads, you can apprieciate the difference in detail in these screenshots

Once packaged into a .cdds format, the FPS hit *shouldn't* be that great, alot depends of course on the specifications of your PC.

 

Having a little difficulty at the moment with the bends of the junctions, trying out different ways to make a texture follow the corners, anyone have any ideas how i could do this?

 

EDIT: nevermind, i've got my own little method worked out now, i think it looks alright :D

Darn Mustang, how many downloads are you gonna make me do lol. P.S. I hope you're getting in on the beta, I bet you can work some of your magic in to A-10C. Probably better to wait till final release, but it never hurts to dig around in the files.

I'll try to get into the open beta at the end of the month/next month, once i can afford to buy a copy ;)

Roadmarkings are normaly dirtied.

So it looks like the whole caucasus got new painted roadmarkings, which is unrealistic for that location.

 

Well, it's a personal preference thing, i wanted to make the roads this way, i cannot please everyone :)

 

There is another version i made, although it's a lower resolution version, it has less road markings (only on main roads) http://files.lockon.ru/en/388/

 

Is there a reason why Road Textures Black v2.0 *High Resolution is not modman-compatible?

 

It's because this mod requires 4 lines to be entered into either the graphics.cfg (FC2.0) or graphicsbs.cfg (DCS Black Shark) for it to function.

 

MODMAN cannot do this, it can only generate one line automatically, hence the need for a manual install.
