I chose by credit card from Amazon. They haven't drawn any money, I guess they do when they start handling my order since they have a "price-guarantee". If the price drops until release, they drop it on my order aswell.

I ordered mine last night on Amazon. Like Roob, money has not been drawn yet.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the throttle and stick bases? I can't seem to find it anywhere!

Ragtop, this is just a copy and paste from a post made by Panther at SimHq

"To be exact

HOTAS Throttle:

8" Tall with throttles in the middle and with base

Throttle base

10.75" L (9.5625" if the base plate is removed.)

6" W

2.0625" H (only the base, excluding the switches and throttles.)

HOTAS Joystick:

11.125 Tall with base

Stick base

10.6875" L

9.0625" W

Now this is a BETA unit, it could change (but unlikely) for the production unit."

Again thanks to Panther for grabbing a tape measure.

It's also in this thread. ;) But seeing that it's 57 pages long, I know that not everyone reads all of them. It will get lost again. hehehe

Haha, I've read every post so far in the A-10C Questions thread, which is currently at 75 pages, so forgive me if I can't bare to delve into another thread nearly as large!

I'm doing a service by having it reposted, for the other users like myself :p

Nonetheless, I want mine!

Looks like we will have 3 months or so without the game however, ho hum.

Still, its going to be interesting when people start posting profiles for FC and Falcon, etc. (all those switches.....gibber...)

I wonder if there will be a review of the stick in the next PC Pilot mag. Last months issue said they were planing one.

It will be interesting to see if the historical warbird guys take to it. BOB should be out early next year i reckon.

I don't see why not, unlike the Cougar the WH stick action is supposed to be very smooth, not clunky and stiff. Dual throttles are as nice for P-38s and Bf-110s as they are for A-10s.

Actually most historic single-engined planes from ww1 and ww2 have two levers as well, one for throttle, one for prop-pitch or mixture.

So the question should rather be, why something like this was not supported much more earlier!

The dual-stage trigger is great for WW2-planes as well, having guns and cannons on separate triggers. At least that's one of the features I loved the Cougar and the X52 in WW2-sims for.

Considering Oleg's latest statements, that BoB is entering QA and awaiting a release plan of the publisher, I could be here before 2011.

Exactly. It seems we only have a choice of flying a military jet or a Cessna. Things are either marketed toward FSX or whatever zoomie sim is the latest and greatest. Somebody really needs to put out a high quality, generic stick and throttle combo for prop fighters. Nothing too specific to one type, with enough levers to satisfy anyone's needs for prop pitch, mixture, cowl flaps, etc.

Saitek has made a bunch of different yokes and throttle quadrants and they are ok, but I know I'd always feel like I was flying a King Air into battle instead of a P-38 if I owned them.

Tarmac Aces' 109 stuff and the Spitfire controls made by SimControl are both awesome but too type-specific and WAY too expensive for anyone but the fanatic.

Guys I didn't mean that in a "hey read the thread" tone. ;) I know things get lost in 5 pages, I can only imagine what 58 pages is like.
