REL Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Is the pilot body animation included in the A-10C project ? Just curious about it because I didn't see it in any of the A-10c movies ...
leafer Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Probably no more than what is modeled in Black Shark. I'd love to see finger turning knobs and flipping switches but we're a long way from there. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
Succellus Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Or a pilot giving a finger to some SAM launcher he just busted....:D HaF 922, Asus rampage extreme 3 gene, I7 950 with Noctua D14, MSI gtx 460 hawk, G skill 1600 8gb, 1.5 giga samsung HD. Track IR 5, Hall sensed Cougar, Hall sensed TM RCS TM Warthog(2283), TM MFD, Saitek pro combat rudder, Cougar MFD.
DarkStar Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 we already have the pilot in cockpit, and standing on the ground, so we just need to animate him stepping out of the cockpit (for the Black Shark), and climbing a ladder :P would be sweet!
leafer Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Or a pilot giving a finger to some SAM launcher he just busted....:D That would be fun online. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

brewber19 Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 It would be quite cool if the virtual pilot body could give an arm or hand gesture as a "go" for formation take offs. Back in the days when I bothered to fly, we used to do formation take offs and were plagued by crappy lag/delay in TS/Ventrilo. We then practised "comms silent" formation takeoffs, which we got to work after a lot of practice...but it would have been easier if the flight lead could have nodded his head or shook a fist or something. I'll get back under the radar now ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 487th Helicopter Attack Regiment, of the VVS504 Red Hammers

diveplane Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 In GA's clip, the pilot lowers his visor as the canopy closes. that was the external pilot model , think what the post was, having the option like ka50 dcs blackshark toggle incockpit pilot. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
EagleEye Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) In GA's clip, the pilot lowers his visor as the canopy closes. The Simmod A-10A for FC1/FC2 already have that (if I remember right)... Yes, external pilot model. 159th_Falcon Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 or in a inverted 4g negative dive with a mig 28 :P That's impossible.:music_whistling: Your inverted, so up is down and vice versa. So, if you want 4 negative G's, you would be going up If you would want to Dive, you would be pulling positive G's. :D:D:D:D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)

power5 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 but the fingers don't show in that scene :P The bird is clearly visible in the original. From inside and then outside showing the distance which I believe would have had tails hitting. Also never noticed the F5... uhm mig28 was actually a t38 in that scene. The scene is terribly inconsistent. Cougar is in front, then when maverick makes his roll move, cougar is gone. "Mig" just cruising along dead straight. The mig is still flying straight when Maverick rolls off, so not sure where the 4g or -4g part ever came into the equation. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Aaron i7 2600k@4.4ghz, GTX1060-6gb, 16gb DDR3, T16000m, Track IR5 BS2-A10C-UH1-FC3-M2000-F18C-A4E-F14B-BF109

GGTharos Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 That's classified. Didn't you hear what they said? Steve Davies Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 We then practised "comms silent" formation takeoffs, which we got to work after a lot of practice...but it would have been easier if the flight lead could have nodded his head or shook a fist or something. I'll get back under the radar now ;) A good idea. IRL, run-up and brake release are signalled by exaggerated head nods, and at night they are signalled by the switching of certain lights/light settings (switching nav lights from flash to steady, for example). In DCS Warthog, you could use the light technique quite happily by day or night. Steve Davies https://www.10percenttrue.com

menendezdiego Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Guys...the head moves with track-ir...if you want to signal when to release brakes, simply go from looking at your wingman....to looking straight ahead...it works in MP
Ratfink Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Is the pilot body animation included in the A-10C project ? I take it the answer is no :music_whistling: For one, I'd like to be able to look down in the 3D pit and see some legs, and hands on the stick, etc. Like you could in BS1 with Rshift+P It's a bit disconcerting to look down, and my body is missing!
