Well it is nearly 2am in Europe and luckily 1am here in the UK and I'm off work all this week. ED just made my week complete.

The EU guys are gonna be pissed all you (time zone better offer's) guys got it first lol

 

I'm downloading with the torrent now and will leave my pc on overnight (well through the morning now) for anyone else getting it.

Hovering between 8 hours and 9 hours for me.

 

I hesitated for like ooooh 0.00001 seconds before logging in, hitting pay and start downloading. Hell who needs food on the table when you have DCS:A10 lol

 

My poor credit card has just got hit with BFBC2 last week, MOH pre-order yesterday and Black Ops just went out the window with A-10 release. I mean how much can one do/fly/shoot at the same time anyway hehe

Okay, I must be really stupid but when I click on a link to download a file from the ftp site I get asked for a user name and password but nothing I enter works! What user name and password am I supposed to use? I've tried what I use here, on the main site where I purchased it, my serial number... I'm stumped! Help appreciated.

 

Never mind, clicked on the HTTP link and it starts up just fine. :)

Avatar, there is a problem with the FTP downloads in that it's asking for username and password. They do that when they max out the number of users downloading from them.

 

I'd recommend one of two options:

Use the torrent method - http://www.bittorrent.com/

Use Download Accelerator Plus and get the files from the HTTP3 server. - http://www.speedbit.com/ select free version

 

In the UK, the DAP options seems to be quicker than the torrent. US, Etc over that side of the pond getting better speed with the torrent.

 

I'm off to get a few hours sleep whilst this downloads so I can fly all day tomorrow. Good luck with your download buddy.

Haha me neither, i was about ready to go to bed and my VRA team mates shouted at me saying A-10 is out. That was about 2 hours ago and i'm like my two children on Christmas morning.

I have never waited for something so much this bad since I was their age (4 years old lol).

 

Oooh, setup-3.bin 45 mins, setup-2.bin 3 hours.

So I reckon time is 01:11am now, set alarm for 4am and should be good to go lol

Thanks to all those that are uploading on the torrent! I will leave mine running once I get it downloaded. I've get a 6M/bit up connection, so hopefully that will help out!

 

I'm surprised, connected to as many people as I am, still only downloading at 4M/bits a second (with a 12M/bit down connection). Oh well. I'll get it eventually. =D

 

(please note I used m/bits in my post not m/bytes. =p)

for me torrent is quicker ... I get it stable 400KB/s (need some bandwidth left as I am working from home at the same time :D)

I was downloading the http but the torrent finished allot faster so i turned the http download off

First impression,

 

 

1. Awesome & intimidating manual. :book: Back to the printshop I go ;)

3. Install (done as admin, just a precaution) ran flawlessly.:)

4. Executed and plays very nicely, FPS seems even better then BS at high settings. :D

2. Finally built in AA support. :thumbup:

3. HDR feature.

4. Includes 64 bit exec. (Negative, not trackIr 64bit ready, however noted that Natural point is working on it) NOTED faster loading time in 64bit version.

5. You included and arcade mode, like you did with BS. That was wise decision IMO. It submits the games to a wider audience and honestly allows any user that has no time to learn all the needy greedy stuff to fly and have fun. However, even if full sim is my preferred choice. I might try it for the fun of it. :P

6. Adding bushes was a great idea; the graphics are stunning so far.

 

Keeping my fingers crossed no crash so far on my rig.

I’m looking in learning all these goodies, thanks ED, job well done so far. Looking forward to the final release.

 

Only 1 negative point. I’m not seeing the cheat key startup sequence.

Explosion, haven’t tried that one yet. However I imagine you explode lol.

You need to use a client program to use the torrent file, I use utorrent but there are lots of other client programs available.:)
