Maybe we can get Julian Assange to ask one of his sources to 'intercept' the bank statements from the USAF, and look for any payments to ED.

E.g.

$10,000,000 --------------- ED, f-15e simulator.

$100,000,000,000 --------- Air force running costs

$1,000,000 ----------------- Toilet paper

$50,000,000 --------------- Dry cleaning and starching.

$30,000,000 --------------- Runway scraper wages

This isn't a bad model either ...

Jet, vaguely multi-role if you're a bit short of fast movers.. (think Falklands)

Simillar kind of level of sensor suite / weapons to those currently modelled ...

Carrier ops ...

The AV-8B Harrier II Plus carries the following weapons systems and technologies:

A 25mm rapid-fire Gatling gun

Air-to-air weapon systems:

Heat-seeking Sidewinder missiles

AIM-120 advanced medium range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM), which is a beyond-visual-range missile

Air-to-surface weapon systems:

Digital targeting data link

Global positioning system

Litening II Targeting Pod system

Next-generation, precision-guided munitions, including the joint direct attack munition (JDAM)

Sea Eagle anti-ship missile from MBDA

Fair amount of cross over from DCS.A10C - They'd have to do the APG-65 radar system & AIM-120, but they have to do radar some time...

( & the Combat Radius of 560 km) fits the current map pretty well & makes for nice short missions :-)

(& just in case anyone's getting excited - I have no more idea than you :-)

And that comment by "eagledcs" is certainly interesting, isnt it? :D:D:D

Does (unreal) mean that's impossible to take off vertical or will it be possible in one of the next patches?

unreal yet! =)

So who'd want an F-14 sim? The Iranians?

A sim is the only way they will ever get to fly Tomcats again...kinda lost access to all the spare parts and Grumman support after the Shah got booted out. :D

I think, it`s a simple. Matt Wagner worked for EA Jane’s Combat Simulations team (proof: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/01/18/matt-wagner-on-black-shark/ and http://www.migman.com/sw/FA18_Janes/links.php ) , and he has co-created Jane`s F/A-18.

He knows this plane, he has experience with this type of the plane.

And I think, if they ( Jane`s team with Matt Wagner on board) have bought a license first time for the Jane`s F/A-18 Hornet, they would not any problems to purchase this license again for ED (believe me, a license = a luxury merchandise, a big money and an hours of negotiations). Matt did it a few years ago.

ED have all, what is need. What for new problems with other plane?

Best regards for All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF ED does a F/A-18 it's going to be the Echo version as VRS did this with a 2 man team, no reason why ED and it's competent employees couldn't be able to surpass the quality of the VRS title (which is phenomenal I might add).

But we are all speculating aren't we :smilewink:; I still think it's going to be a F-16 :music_whistling:

Exactly, thin air is where the fighters fly! :D

Gimme one good candidate, that isn't fighter / multirole. (except that agricultural thing, EtherealN brings up all the time)

As I've mentioned in a different thread,

For ED it's almost a no brainer, producing an F-16 module will put the final stamp on the death of Falcon4 on all of its variations. A mass hoarding of the Viper community will commence bringing not only many more faces but alot of money. Even the most dedicated F4 player acknowledges the high fidelity of the DCS series (Ka-50 & A-10) and this is the exact thing they are looking for. Some of them are already here for the A-10.

I might be wrong but this is just my opinion. I wouldn't mind having the F-16, F-15, F-18 or even an F-4 or an F-14. Or any other fixed wing for that matter! ED continues to amaze me with their products and I will gladly spend my money on them! :)

You're right (for me at least).

I didn't touched FF5 since the blackshark release.

Damn, shame on me. it was really a good sim.

Well call me all shades of a nutjob under the sun if you must, but I'd actually buy a DCS C-130 or some such (military) cargo hauler in a heartbeat because I've always wanted to operate a decently-modelled heavy myself. Now I understand this most likely won't happen because releasing one would probably be very un-prudent commercially, but one can always hope still :music_whistling:

I've never been a fighter guy myself and would therefore love to see f.ex. a Hind released after the Hog, but will I still buy whatever it is they model next? Of course I bloody will, because what these blokes have here is a quality venture deserving of all possible support. Endy story!

Either way it's a win-win for me. I do wish that they would put in harriers though, it would be quite fitting.

Exciting stuff!

Can't help to speculate, but if it were a F18 with carrier ops I hope they can simulate a rocking ship with bad weather! Rough carrier landings without the RL consequences sound like fun to me.

If it's some other AC I will still be stoked :)

Yeah sure, make another pointless poll that ED isn't going to give a rats-ass about because they've already started on the project and aren't going to change their minds. :P

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

If I remember correctly (it was long time ago) you have said same when LO2 was coming out :) Servers aren't empty today :)

Yea yea:music_whistling:

I flying because we have russian planes in LO2.

But now we have a situation that after a10c will come out another american aircraft.

I think that there is not dynamics in that.

If the first plane was a10c, then the second plane should be russian striker.

Now we'll have the situation that we have two american planes, and no russian.

What will do now people who fly only russian aircraft?

Did we have to wait another five years for russian plane so we can fly too.

It's not fair that the blue guys will fly and red will drive tanks.
