So any first reports on how it is running?

Check the 3rd post in this thread.

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

I've been flying for more than an hour and I can vouch for this update. The differences between beta4 and release are ENORMOUS. See the 3rd post in this thread.

ED really does deserve our respect and reverence. They're better than they need to be to make a dollar.

Few questions for you

The lag when you fly real low to ground on strafing runs.. is it gone?

Alt Tab does it still crash?

CBU's are fixed I take it?

All the ILS approaches put in?

How about the campaigns are they still realllly choppy? (even with a good system)

Did they add "Declaring an emergency" ?

...Don't you think it is a little weird that we went from Beta 4 full of bugs to Final Release and non of us got a chance to test it?

Please tell me you're kidding........You were never requested to test the product. You pre-ordered the final version with access to the Beta as a bonus. Be that as it may, water under the bridge.

I think that's a misconception on your end. We're not Beta testers. We don't get paid to test the product and we're not even asked to do so. We were simply allowed access to some Beta versions as a thank you for prepurchase.

Besides, we didn't go from Beta 4 to final release, ED did. So I figure they don't think it's weird to do so. And from what I can tell, the only one who has already installed the final version was full of praise. The rest of us, why don't we wait until we finally install it?

We don't know if they even finished the product or fixed all the bugs, don't you think its a little premature to be thanking anyone. Don't you think it is a little weird that we went from Beta 4 full of bugs to Final Release and non of us got a chance to test it?

first person ever to complain about getting the final product hehe, thats like ordering a new car and complaining that you wanted it before it was fitted with an engine and wheels.

SWEET!!! -I guess Jim Mack was right. Can't wait to try it out! Guess you'll have to rename the Beta Forum now?

They already did a couple minutes ago. :-)

It's now called "A-10C Problems".

StrongHarm, any more details as we wait on our torrents? What is different about the AI besides KA-50s formation flying. What about wingman? I think that is what I care about most for AI, notice anything different?

Cool .. are there any added training tutorials? Like for air to air refueling etc?

Run the first campaign with the low cloud cover that usually slogs along even on my quad core with GTX560Ti

Can't wait to see how it runs now.

with more and more people getting on the torrent I have gone from 30kb/s to > 400, it can only get better..

Not all.. Some ISP's here in Canada like bell throttle p2p. I've been known to do this at my WISP as well when people go too nuts. So I'm screwed with a 30 meg docsys connection right now downloading at about 100Kb..
