Storyline

 

Survive, Adapt, Win

After years of intense warfare against Eastern armies, Europe has become the last stand for the battered NATO forces. On the verge of being driven into the sea, NATO command embarks upon a most desperate measure. In the hope of seizing what seems to be a well-guarded military secret, Operation Magnitude is launched. A small group of Special Forces and Researchers are sent to a Mediterranean island deep behind enemy lines. However, the mission is compromised and the task force destroyed, leaving Cpt. Scott Miller washed ashore upon the hostile island. In his effort to carry out the mission, he will face the dangers of modern warfare, an unforgiving environment, and the consequences of his own decisions...

me dont see the point that they add RAH-66 when americans so foolish end that programe ruin such a programe that costed 6+ billion usd and could have been a big step up to the future..but no..

You could say the same thing about them adding in the XM8 in A2.

 

Anyways, looks like I will finally have an excuse to upgrade my graphics card from a 5870.

 

My only question is why isn't there any DX11? DX10 seems so... dated...

 

I will still buy it regardless, ArmA keeps improving as a series so I keep buying it.

yeah this produced quite a fuss on the BI forums.

Definitely a fictionnal chopper. Looks like the devs are giving themself some freedom.

This hybrid helo, US SF with F2000, Merkava,...

 

Not a bad thing IMO, ArmA has one of the greatest modding community, so if BIS is going a lil bit too far with the fictionnal thingy modders will make everyone happy :)

hmm...I wouldn't bet one of my balls on this but I think it's safe to assume some part of the RAH-66 programs went into that "Stealth Bin Laden Killer Blackhawk" program.

Another American Hero, argh, why not make Cpt Miller come from a different country for a change.

 

Saying that, I will buy the thing, but I am not impressed with their fascination for American units, especially when they say they are fighting in EUROPE, what happened to all the other European Units/Countries ???.

 

I would love to see the french, the dutch, the germans etc etc in arma properly, the same amount of each country as we have of the americans, that would be great.

Aside from the military look up looks like a S.TA.L.K.E.R / Crysis 2 scenário.

 

Now if they say 1 guy end up washed ashore why we have many people ?

And is he a one army men ? Grunt soldier, tank driver, helo and fast flyer pilot ?

Relax, that's just the campaign, and reading on, you'll see you might end up as the commander.

this looks predominantly like a cheap cash in to me. nothing im seeing or reading about warrants an arma3, maybe some dlc yeah. but they only just managed to make arma2 what its ment to be a few weeks ago. ill pass. untill its under a tenner on steam :)
