Eddie Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 (edited) After the mission ends you get to play a minigame of trying not to lose all your money downtown, and then you have to stumble your way back to the airbase drunk. Easy enough to model, especially for VFW members. After each MP flight, you and your mates all connect to an online casino and drink beer until you loose all your money/vomit all over your keyboard. Whichever comes first. In fact, if we can get a VHogsmoke going once Nevada is released, I propose all participants meet up before the start of the competition and again at the end to loose all our money and get drunk in TS. Lets go for full realism. :D Edited August 11, 2011 by Eddie

Newt Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 So it's in testing then? I'm sure it will be more then people think it will be, ED is going to go all out, they want people to purchase their add-on, therefore it will be worth it. I'm just curious how they plan to make it available to pre-purchasers like myself. I'm guessing it will have to be serialized and activated just like any other module. What do you mean "make it available to pre-purchasers like myself"? Live every week like it's Shark Week. :D
159th_Viper Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 What do you mean "make it available to pre-purchasers like myself"? Persons who pre-ordered/pre-purchased the A-10C as part of the Open-Beta program will receive Nevada free as part of the pre-purchase agreement. For all others, Nevada will be a purchasable add-on. EtherealN Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Personally, Nellis to me is a perfect place for training. Setting up training flights, Red Flag MP events and that kind of thing is an awesome prospect. :) Afghanistan would be nice of course, but my personal preference goes more towards the Fulda Gap type of thing than what's happening in Afghanistan, so that map wouldn't be of "use" for me. That's just me though, and an Afghan map could be used for some interesting hypothetical scenarios as well. Frostiken Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I don't really understand the appeal for an Afghanistan map. Okay, I can sort of understand that you want the 'realistic' terrain and don't think Nevada can act as a compromise. What I don't get is why it would be unrealistic to pretend that the dusty desert and rocky hills and valleys of Nevada is Afghanistan, but it wouldn't be unrealistic to put modern Russia in Afghanistan, unless you just planned on flying around shooting at infantry which might be the textbook definition of '****ing dull'. I thought Nevada started out in the older formats... anyways... They are not available like the older tools. So whether they have given them to a couple people or not is irrelevant really unless you can post information on how to request these tools. Or where ED had stated this is how they will be released.
