BTTW-DratsaB Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I was wondering if in cockpit FPS are much increased compared to the A10 or the Shark? Given that there is less going on, no MFD screens etc. How do you guys find it? Specs: GA-Z87X-UD3H, i7-4770k, 16GB, RTX2060, SB AE-5, 750watt Corsair PSU, X52, Track IR4, Win10x64. HiJack Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 The frames are now just great for my settings. All on full and 30 - 50 frames. Really nice. In A-10C I get 20 - 30 for the same landscape. They must have solved some graphic issues I think. (HJ)
SimFreak Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 To me it runs slower than previous sims. Especially if you like using zoom function.

Bodo Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Runs nicely for me, somewhat better than A10. Looking forward to comparing the perf difference when we can try BS and A10 within World. element1108 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Runs a bit better for me as well, will most likely improve though at final.
TomDK Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Also bettet for me, think due to nö mfcd and nö Second Monitor with Helios so far. Only the Throttle is strange behaving Emile using HOTAS. I have around 40 fps, A-10 around 30. My old, sold, pit: http://bilder.einzelart.de/thumbnails.php?album=74&page=3
cichlidfan Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 To me it runs slower than previous sims. Especially if you like using zoom function. I haven't used zoom much at all, will have to take a look. I was going to agree that is seems to run at least as good as A-10, load times may even be better but A-10 is on an SSD and P-51/World is not, yet. Smokin Hole Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 It runs worse for me. As a benchmark I use the black shark mission, "Battle". I added overcast and snow. In that mission A-10 runs best, BS same or slightly slower, P-51 slower still and the Su25t is a slug, especially with the Skhval on.
Smokin Hole Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 The P-51 also runs worse than A-10 around airfields on my PC. Other P-51's in my view bring me down to near slide-show levels.
Nasum Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 For me the A10 runs a little bit better than the P-51. The P-51 runs not bad but 3-4 FPS more would be fine.
BigToe Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 In order, the A10C runs better then the Black Shark 2 and the Black Shark 2 runs better then the P51D.
ErichVon Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I was wondering if in cockpit FPS are much increased compared to the A10 or the Shark? Given that there is less going on, no MFD screens etc. How do you guys find it? Using TrackIR it is noticeably slower. So I do not use it. I mapped my hat views. I get about the same as the A-10C or the Ka-50. Slower with lots of trees and buildings around. I set my settings to medium, some stuff off, but my Visib Range is set to High. Lower resolution may increase frame rates. I run at my stock speed.
Teeps Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Just adding my two pennies worth - I find the P-51 is noticeably worse for framerate than the Black Shark in DCS World. Win10 x64, 16 GB RAM, Ryzen 5 1600X @3.60 GHz, 500 GB SSD, GeForce 1080 Ti
recoilfx Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Click to flip up the mirror on the P-51. I found that it was killing my FPS even though i have a GTX 670.
WildBillKelsoe Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 runs better than BS2, and A-10. A-10 middle performance. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
Ali Fish Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) for me p51 is best. not that i need to look at the FPS in any of them. quite the opposite, i dont need to look and if that is the case then there is no fps problems (for me) unless i put mirrors on (GF670) then it all falls apart at the seems. the a10 and Ka50 were designed under different circumstances and dont share alot of commonality with the p51s design infrastructure imho. one one hand the p51 is more simpler, yet calling on more visualy aesthetic shaders. but are we talking cockpit internal frame rates or external viewing frame rates ???? iam really surprised that some have worse fps with the p51 given the lack of mfd`s etc but i feel the answer lies in the materials used on the model and wether one`s grapyhics card allows such powerfull shaders, its not used to doing it with the a10 and ka50. texture memory is being used more extensivly at a local level with the p51 especially for external viewing. Tailgate Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 P-51 internal cockpit is a slide slow for me compared to the A-10. Maybe it's the vibration effect in the center console that's killing it in the P-51? Is there any way to turn that effect off or tone it down a bit for me to test?
Smokin Hole Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I don't know if there is any ability to adjust the vibration effect (in fact I never noticed it). I did want to say that I feel as if the performance has improved considerably since 1.2 (placebo effect perhaps). Something else I notice is that I fly zoomed back in the P-51 (wide FOV) more so than the other two. That may have an effect on real or percieved performance.
