I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that multi crew is gonna happen eventually. I mean, there are a couple 2 seater trainers being developed by third parties, so... not much point in them if they can't actually be multi crewed.

Yes I like that too. Then you piloting you Apache and me the Ka-50, or you the Apache and me the Mi-24 but ED should make for us the Ka-29VPNTSU. The A-10C have the predator and even ED like do another new drone for the A-10 pilots. While the Ka-50 is a hardcore Sim too and they are not made the Ka-29VPNTSU like AI for Designation to the Ka-50. They are the things I really dont understand here

 

Also the russian have not the powerful OTR-23 Oka. It is true tha this have the capability for nuclear Missiles, but ED can do only the 9M714F missile armed with a FRAG-HE or the 9M714K missile armed with a submunitions warhead.

 

So the things should be like they are and not like one side like. The powerful of russian Forces should be there

My vote is for the uh-60, not because of its beauty but because of the fact that it can do anything. I could just imagine doing air assault, medevac, and maybe a little bit of CAS with a DAP.

Since obviously ED & partners are planning to develop the naval aspect of the simulator, a chopper flying in this kind of context would fit nicely in my opinion (cf. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=109642).

 

It would present something quiet new. The challenge to operate from ships. I know this is already possible with the Ka-50, but I have in mind daily ops. Naval warfare against ships, submarines (with the use of a sonar), surveillance/patrolling/coast guards, transport.

 

I won't name any helicopter which could fit in, there are several available.

I was hoping for a cobra or an apache after the release of the huey...I mean hell...isnt the first cobras all huey engine and avionics crammed into a tandem cockpit, instead of a side by side....but I was wrong...no cobra for you....the Mi-8 is a match transport to the huey...but I'm not from the east, so I wanted a match for the Ka-50

 

 

.I dont even need a longbow apache....just give me an early model with fire and forget and stingers on the tips like good old gunship2000....

Apache>Ka-50......(opinions may vary, mine is a very Americanized opinion)

early AH-1 with tow missles = Ka-50 ........ and fits nice with huey for Vietnam scenarios

 

 

A Marine cobra would fit with DCS:F/A 18c and DCS: Naval warfare, and hopefuly they make some form of landing craft system...then a cobra is a necessity...with or without an apache...

I went with the Hind (Hopefully a Mi-24P) but I would also like to see the MH-60K, Merlin HC3, CH-53E, AH-1F Cobra and MH-6/AH-6 Little Birds.

With all of the talk about two seater huey's and f-15e's etc I'm really excited about the possibility of a Ka-52.

 

It seems like it would be a quick module to do as I'm assuming a lot of the Ka-50's systems weapons and cockpit are the same or similar.

They're nowhere near close. Ka-52 systems are classified, AFAIK.

Actually, AH-64A was in development for DCS before few years, but, sadly, plans have changed, but i really hope ED or 3rd party will continue making AH-64 for DCS World!

You will NEVER see an AH-64 in this program because it requires 2 people to fly. One gunner and one pilot and there is no provision for multiple position cockpits in a co-op mode. This is also why you will never see an F-14 or F-15 strike eagle or ANY OTHER aircraft with a pilot and nav/gunner. Until DCS World supports multi player CO-OP in a single aircraft this will never happen. And yes ,before you say "What about the Huey?", Remember that it does not NEED a copilot. The pilot can still operate it all by himself. These other aircraft/Helos NEED a gunner as well as a pilot.

obviously you did not read the post TonyZ a did not say it would never happen what he said, was it "would never happen UNTIL" He is right DCS does not support multiplayer in a single vehicle. Whether or not a 3rd party developer is "working on it" is irrelevant. unless the 3rd party developer is working on co-op multiplayer. These types of aircraft can never be flown effectively without multiple manned positions.
