Actually does this thing have an afterburner? I noticed the engine speeds top out at 100% but there is an extra 10% on the dial....

 

This is because in certain condition the engine could overspeed.

Which is something you wanna know so

A, you can do something about it

B, carry out subsequent maintenance if required

 

(for example, if you slam the throttle from idle to full, you will see the needle briefly indicating ~ 101-102% before stabilizing at 100%)

Frog has too low fuel to have AFB too - without external tanks it is 3800 kg, with external tanks it is 1800 kg more only.

Is it me or is the SU25 campaign in DCS world broken...?

I've been playing the first couple of missions over and over but it either crashes or.. The diamond markers in the HUD are over friendlies, there's no smoke markers as promised and it just seems to not make sense to me. What's wrong???

I have had no crashes, but the diamond markers do tend to get placed on enemies that are irrelevant to the mission.

 

Does anyone know where to find the campaign files? I want to extract them into individual missions.

Generally n0_0bs can't play Su-25T - brutal truth. But in capable hands it is deadly.

Yeah when I see a mission where targets are for both sides are relatively close each other I jump to the Frog and hunt poor GheyTen :D

 

They are blind I must say ^^

 

When I am in coop with A-10 I always have fun when see poor GheyTen trying to climb higher and higher. Guy flies maximum power loaded by 4 Mavericks and 2 bombs :D

I often close to such GheyTen in my limo, saying "hello, sry I can't fly slower :D" and pass him smoothly leaving him smelling my engines gases :D

Of course I am loaded by 2x Kh-29T, 16 Vikhrs, 2x Kh-25ML, s2x S-25ML, ECM pod....

Just hang in between friendly units and enemy base, A-10's will regularly pass by and overhead, blinded like donkeys with carrot string bait. Most probably head inbetween thier knees checking out their weapon state (not as big as they thought :D).

While I can understand the pleasure from your side of the equation, I've been on the receiving end of that from time to time in the past and I can tell you it's very frustrating. I'd have 45 minutes to an hour of free time to enjoy myself, get my gear all set up, join a server, and never be able to get off the ground because there'd be 3 or 4 T's overhead taking turns rolling in. Not much fun being the fish in the proverbial barrel. :)

I'd have 45 minutes to an hour of free time to enjoy myself, get my gear all set up, join a server, and never be able to get off the ground because there'd be 3 or 4 T's overhead taking turns rolling in. Not much fun being the fish in the proverbial barrel. :)

I remember nice situation. I captured enemy base - Kutaisi IIRC. I saw A-10 in the bunker, fortunately its doors were un-blocked by any obstacles so I lowered altitude to 50 meters. Locked him in the bunker and fired missile :D

While later big boom :D

Guy was about to go taxi, I saw he had moved few meters hahaha
