So we will have a new flanker cockpit with the 3 MFDs ???? Do we know for a fact if were getting the su-27SM? From what I'm seeing on official posts there is no mention of "SM" anywhere.

I wonder if making the Su-27M would break any laws. That would open up realistic possibilities for 27SM, Su-35 and Su-37 mods.

You are correct in that they planned on the SM, but decided on a S version instead. However, I'm 99% certain no reason for this was given by ED, the Russian law angle was first brought up by other forum members speculating as to why ED might have made the decision. It is as good a reason as any, but we have no idea whether that was the real cause behind the decision (unless someone can find evidence to the contrary that I haven't seen yet).

I dont know that we were given any official statements as to why it went from the SM to the S. I know the devs had said in the past that getting good data on Russian birds is much harder, so its not out of the realm of possibility, but as I said, I dont think we were given an official reason to the change or if it was simple a mistake when announced.

Devs have mentioned that laws are strict, but laws or no laws, I doubt you're going to get good data on demonstrators.

 

Likewise, data (for simulation purposes) on the Su-27SM seems rather hard to come by, and you can basically forget about data for Su-35. At least for now.

I noticed the Su-33 and Mig-31 can be armed with R-77 missile as it stated in the Wikipedia.org, the version 1.2.8 will add it?

 

I think the Su-27SM3, MIG-29M, Su-25KM, Su-25TM, Su-30, Su-34, ...., should be make fly able first to balanced the current old

Su-27 Flanker-B, Su-33, MIG-29A, MIG-29S, Su-25, Su-25T.

And the next older MIG-25PDSL, Su-24M2, MIG-23MLA, MIG-21Bis,

 

the Su-35BM and MIG-35 should be out together with F/A-18E?, F-15SE?

the Sukhoi PAK-FA should be out together with F/A-22 and F-35?,

 

I had been explorer around the DCS folder, I found the Kabina-SU-39 together with other cockpit files, I searched the Su-39 on Wikipedia, it related to Su-25TM, why the Su-25TM still not flyable? the DCS World 1.2.8 RC1 already work for the Su-25T 3D cockpit, if the Su-25TM cockpit was similar, then it should be possible? since the Su-25T was free module for DCS World, why not the Su-25TM replace the Su-25T in the Flaming Cliff 3 module? allow FC3 player to use the Kopyo radar and launch R-77 missile in Su-25TM? instead of just AI aircraft?
