I mut say it is a bit of a brave approach by ED to announce in advance when the title will be released. Usually, developers are wary of these things and don't announce anything untill it's out. So this brings me to conclusion that ED is either waiting for the last day of september (on purpose) OR there are still some ongoing testing and some perhaps unexpected bugs/glitches to be resolved.

 

Either way, I applaude their 'courage' to have it announced the way they have..and even if they've been teasing us all along, they sure made a smart business move by making community wait and crave for so long..it's just gonna up the sales even more once it's out. ;)

Where were you when BS2 was released? Do you not remember how ED was crucified when they failed to announce the release in advance? Absolute pandemonium reigned on various forums including this one, all because of failure to announce release/surprise release date.

Oh I liked the 'WTF they released it without a peep!' method. It just amused me for some reason, i think because it was so left field. I mean who releases a game with no announcement or similar..master stroke! :thumbup:

Do you Gentlemen not read the posts in the thread prior to replying? If you did, you would have read post #1492 and as a consequence not posted comments as per the quote :)

 

To reiterate, I am not an employee of ED, nor am I affiliated with ED in any manner other than being a volunteer and member of the testers team, both roles which provide me with no insight as to a release date. As such I am not privy to release dates at all and even if I wanted to, cannot comment with any authority on said release dates. I also only find out at release, as do the vast majority, or very shortly before and in certain circumstances maybe even after. Somewhere in-between is also a possibility.

This always makes me think of the "Life of Brian". Whatever he does or says, it just leads to his inevitable doom.

I think that they should release it on their FTP without telling anyone in an announcement. That would really make things interesting.

I'm about to order tracker ir 5 and cougar hotas foot peddals. Any one have any idea in how it feels to use peddals? Once fc3 releases I'm planning on mastering the mig29s.

Are you referring to Thrustmaster Elite Rudder pedals? If so you might want to tread carefully - they are aged and might require modding.

If I can add my theory, I will say the Devs are too busing playing the FC3' F15C doing escort to the DCS:A10C in multiplayer :joystick:

 

So... me must wait until they are bored with the game and decide to come back to real life and release the "thing" :music_whistling:

If you want to do Yourself a favor, don´t buy cheap shoooot for plenty of $.

Go for german engineering:

simped Rudder Pedals by dhs electronic.

 

Mine are 6 years old, most of the time used in IL2 where compared to Jet simulation you need alot of rudder input all the time.

 

There is no significant ware in the mechanics and no spikes in output.

The only rugged input system I found to the day. Everything else (Input hardware) lasted more or less around 40 month and then faded and had to be replaced.

In flight using pedals results in significant loss of energy and as such is reserved for "extreme" circumstances. So as long as they at least work - you can fine tune precision/smoothness via in-game curves.

Aha I was looking for this.:) So just tracker Ir 5 and headphone Ir clip. I looked at other pedals and wasn't too impressed. New Warthog joysticks looks like a heavily modded Cougar HOTAS :D and very expensive but worth the money that I don't have.

Yes that is quite true. First time I got pedals was for Black Shark - flew the T-Toad for years before that with no pedals.
