Witchking Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) Well. The reason I say that is the flyables from LO series are the only distinguishing factor added to DCS world in fc3. Landing physics is a huge addition that is Atleast my reason for interest, but at the office level, things are changed little to none from lock on: Mac days in terms of cockpits. The external models have some replacements in the community, but the cockpits require a major rework to make it a next generation fc. I world rather wait 6 months - year if they can prioritize fc release and update as many flyables cockpits as possible. Heck, bring out the old model of that reworked a10a cockpit... Make it functional, and the second 6dof update is good to go. It will also help us whiners shut up as well. :p Oh another point: update all cockpits and then ask 59.99 (price that I bought DCS A-10 at) and I don't think anyone will be unhappy with the fc3 price. - New 6dof cockpits for all flyables and new external models. - Improved physics models - New missile AFM behavior is a fair and huge feature list extra over FC2 to warrant a number change. Also, if FC3 is going to be the final FC. Why not let it go with a bang? Update the cockpits and models and close the chapter. Then focus on DCS series in the future. But everything else under the hood that is added to keep compatibility directly to DCS world does feel in-exclusive to FC. Face it..for people who will buy FC3 already have Lock on, FC1, FC2, we can all see why its kinda confusing to pay the asking price of 40$ for a upgrade in one aircraft (F-15C) alone. Not to mention as already stated, 1 3d model + cockpit upgrade taking 1 year is hard to believe for a full time employee. They already gave me one of my favorite airplanes to fly for free in DCS-world and that's the su25t there. Now if they came out and said that they made advanced flight models for all the flyable aircrafts like the su25t then I will buy it day one and search like hell for my Lockon install disk. Well, on the programmers' side, thats the easiest addition to lomac I've ever heard. Basically you just have to mark every target that gets in scope range, and tell everything about it. Then it will be released. Wags has announced there are some new features being added to FC3 which amongst debugging is taking more time, why not speculate on these features. I'm guessing either a selection of seat skins (furry, smooth or nails) for the F-15 or an AESA radar for the F-15.
