Corrigan Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Nothing here. You can check if it's actually what you describe it as by looking for the PAC-1 notification on the HUD. Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5
oceanoftimeGER Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 (edited) You are right, it doesn't have anything to do with PAC. It seems that my rudder pedals are getting stuck. I am not sure if it's the game or my hardware but at this point I am guessing my rudder pedals are dying. I own Saitek Rudder Pedals and I've read that quite a few people have had problems similar to this. The only strange part is that I am giving no input when it gets stuck, and if I move my rudder pedals, that causes it to 'snap' back. The pedals are also testing fine within the Saitek software and the Axis Tune panel in options. Strange. Edited October 9, 2012 by oceanoftimeGER
Corrigan Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 A flying buddy of mine had a problem sort of similar to what you describe the other day. He said there was delay in stick and rudder inputs. Have you noticed any issues with the other flight controls? Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5

He said there was delay in stick and rudder inputs. Have you noticed any issues with the other flight controls? I haven't put too much time in since the patch so I can't say for sure. But it does seem that both the joystick and the rudder pedals are suffering from these issues. I'll make sure to edit my post once I've played some more. I'll probably be able to get a better sense of what is going on.

Aries Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 mouse cursor slow to appear.. :( plaese fix.. Yup, seems like somehow it re-appears only if it passes over interactive cockpit areas (switches, buttons, rotaries)... if not - it stays invisible, until it does... C'mon ED, if you could make the OS arrow dissapear, do some more magic and make the in-cockpit cursor re-appear in time... :D But nevertheless - great framerates and MP stability... a dream come true... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...

Exorcet Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 6241 is a good update, sitting at the airport is no longer a frame rate killer, nor is looking down at the ground. There is about 30 seconds of really low frame rate when in the cockpit for the first 30 seconds of a mission though. The mouse also likes to disappear from the clickable cockpit. doveman Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Can't say I'm seeing much, if any improvement here with the latest patch. It still stutters from time to time and particularly when I crash, or am about to, there's a very noticeable pause. I'm not sure if it's the transition to the explosion 3rd-person view that's causing it or if I'd have a chance to recover the helo if it wasn't for the stutter throwing me off. Also still see a major drop in fps looking left at the helos on the ground in Cold Start in Mozdok. I've got 16GB and DCSW was only using about 2GB of that on the last test, even though I've got preload on max, so it seems that it could be better utilising my RAM to buffer data to avoid the stuttering (if that's what the problem is). GAJ52 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 For the last couple of updates my FPS has been locked at 60, is this by design or have I pressed something by mistake ? GAJ52 Intel i7-7700K @ 4.60GHz | 32 GB Ram | Win 10 Pro 64 | GTX 1080i 11.00MB | Saitek X52 Pro
remon Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 A-10 is unplayable for me right now, major lag/stutter proglem when mission starts For the last couple of updates my FPS has been locked at 60, is this by design or have I pressed something by mistake ? That's Vsync.

Try turning off your pagefile, with 16gb you'll be fine and you'll notice that alot of the stuttering will vanish.
remon Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 The HDR is the culprit for me, it is killing my performance, which it wasn't doing yesterday. The weird part is that once I'm using any external view, the stutters/lag stop, with HDR on.
