EvilBivol-1 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 For those that missed the excitement, there was a "leak" of a WIP DCS: Huey official announcement page, which had a product introduciton and a few screenshots. However the page was not yet intended to go public and was "uncovered" by one of the forum members. As we've said before, ED is currently finalizing version 1.2.3 update for DCS and the Huey is not going to be included in this release. The current plan is to move on to 1.2.4 quickly and package the Huey for that update. We are still recording voiceovers for the third party campaign to be included with DCS: Huey. Hopefully that will be completed in time to be included with the release. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules

Cowboy10uk Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Thanks for the update EB. Granted I may have been one of those commenting on this page, but damn must say it was impressive. The screenshots were very impressive. It's only because we are so excited for this product. It looks great, but don't forget to change those couple of mistakes we found in the description though. ;) I can't wait for this module, fingers crossed its not too far away. TurboHog Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 I was about to open that page again... Now that everything is sorted with Bell Helicopters give me the other reason(s) why we don't get to see any media... Although I always fully understand delays or temporary lack of media and wait patiently for any news, I'm now starting to get a little dissapointed in the way Belsimtek treats potential customers. It's an highly uncommon and ineffective way of promoting your product. At the very least you can post the pictures that some of us have already seen... Good luck with tweaking the Huey and please consider my words. 'Frett'
Hueyman Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Yeah, I agree wit you Turbo Hog, but as a little developer myself ( a PC-6, for another simulator ) I can tell you all takes always much longer than expected, even if all goes well ( and trust me, that is almost never the case )... Longer why ? because when there aren't bugs to sort out, you always find some points that could be tuned, polished further and further, and when you do it, new bugs appears etc etc... In the Belsimtek case, maybe their biggest mistake was to announce the product. I think they would be in a much more relax and nice mood to finish a product when there isn't hundreds of people complaining every single hours about the release date being always pushed further... But now it's too late, anyone is getting crazy about this, and I truly understand it... The best solution in that case is to get yourself occupied your free sim time with other stuff like reading technical publications, watching videos, learning from real documents, learning, learning, learning... cause nothing is more uncomfortable than get a new product and struggle to make it work, as you are very excited in the beginning and usually you lack required knowledges... And it really f*cks up the pleasure you would get from a brand new product My 2cents comments ;-) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPL(A)IR ME/SEP/MEP/SET - CPL(H)
