theghost Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 v1.2.3 update 1.2.3 Update We share the frustration of another Monday without 1.2.3 being ready, but in the course of working on 1.2.3, what we term a "blocking" bug was introduced into the game. Specifically, helicopters unable to ramp start. This would break a significant number of missions / campaigns. We will now fix the issue, create a new installer, test the installer, and then release 1.2.3. We sincerely hope this will go quickly. No one wants to get 1.2.3 out the door more than us! 1 The 147 Squadron commander "The Goring Ram"

Rusty_M Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Yeah, that's a nasty bug. Not many rotorheads will be clamouring for it to be released in whatever state it's in until that's fixed. That said, I wonder if I can remember how to get the shark airborne from cold & dark. Hell, I wonder if I can still do it in the Hog. The world is going mad. Me? Arrowhead Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Yes, it seems they have to wait until the weekend to get enough testers together to test everything only to find a new issue that will start the weekly cycle all over again. Quirkitized Posted February 25, 2013 Author Posted February 25, 2013 Geez. So this is a regression then? And how is this being handled? Someone fixes it today/tomorrow, and then tumbleweeds blow until the weekend, and we will get another announcement next Monday...? oh well. :/ It doesn't sound like regression. Of all the things getting fixed and added for 1.2.3, and now no more reports of MP issues, they seem to have this one problem. I cant imagine them needing to wait until the weekend to test this, wouldn't imagine needing 20 testing in MP for something like that...but who knows

xilol Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 You really can't blame them for all the delays. Think of it this way instead of receiving a problematic 1.2.3 and wait for fixes for.1.2.4, you get a refined and multiplayable 1.2.3. Many thanks to those involved for making my dcs experience a better one! "IN ALTIS VIS ET VIRTUS" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
