cichlidfan Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I just noticed that there are some autopilot cheats! RedRain Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Didn't think it would have an autopilot on this model, no autopilot on the dodo Jetranger, hope it's still going to be a Flight challenge ?
Hueyman Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Does anybody know if the rotor in the game will be dynamic ? I mean, rotor tilting ( teetering ) from one side to another, completely freely ( and not immobile as I can see know ) and according to small wind/gusts on the parking ? Like every Bell semi-rigid, teetering rotor system actually do ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPL(A)IR ME/SEP/MEP/SET - CPL(H)
Derk Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 the autopilot is, according to the manual, used to simulate the pilot flying the aircraft so you can concentrate on shooting stuff up. Guess they lack proper ai for this atm. You could used it during normal flight too i guess, that's when it would be considered a cheat. The autopilot supplied is a game mechanic, not an aircraft system! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

VincentLaw Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 (edited) OK GENTS - as with the P-51 I want to see videos of your first take off attempt. My first takeoff was beautiful... and then my engine overheated 1 minute into the flight... and then I discovered takeoff assistance was on by default... My third takeoff didn't go as well, but that's because I slammed the throttle forward with full flaps and no rudder trim. I assume the Huey will be easier on the first takeoff, because even with more control coupling etc., I won't be going 70 MPH down the runway when something goes wrong, so I can just drop the collective and bounce to safety instead of bursting into flames. Ralph2 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Just finished reading the entire thread and clicked to the product page (in hope maybe nobody realised it was already released) to see rotors just below the P51 and DCS pictures !!! Never been so sad to scroll down and see a picture of my beloved Ka-50 (instead of a Huey).
