Focha
Hi there, I noticed in some screenshot that there are some rain effects in windshield. Although I don't have those, is it necessary some special settings in graphics menu? And are those animated with the wipers on? Regards. JesseJames38
I don't think I have ever seen any rain effects on the windshield of any aircraft in DCS. Its kinda a shame to as the windshield wipers work in the KA-50 and UH-1. And the switches for the rain removel work for the A-10C But I really would like to see in the game. Jesse. JesseJames38
I think its a mixture of snow and rain. Don't see anything on the windows thought. Would be a nice effect. Jesse
BTTW-DratsaB
Yeah, I'd love to see a rain drops effect, like in rise of flight. It's a simple post effect (I think) that costs very few FPS. Darkwolf
Rain effect would be awesome. They is no real IFR in DCS. whatever it's raining or not, you can see outside your aircraft as if your windows were destroying water at a molecular level :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. 112th_Rossi
The FSX rain effects are good. Trying to navigate back to your base in the rain or trying to pick out ground objects through a rain soaked window would be a great challenge.

Vantskruv
Nice with rain effects on the windshield, but there is no need of them if the wipers do not work. Hence, the wipers work mechanically, but they are not wiping of the rain from the windshields. Edited February 26, 2021 by Vantskruv

Wow, that's some next level necro'ing there @Vantskruv, opening up an eight year old thread Valid point though. Would be great to see the wipers actually wipe something.
