Glider_UK
Hi All, I am currently looking at making panels for numerous cockpits, I am really just checking if its a service that people would use. I am not holding anybody to it. Just checking if the interest is there. A prototype was done a while ago which has been made better. I am currently in the middle of purchasing a laser cutter/engraver (so I am not using the one at work) if there is the interest. Link to old prototype http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=63508 Just for example the A10 fuel Panel, painted cut and engraved would be around a tenner. Just post your interest please. I will upload videos and photos of finished panels once production starts. Glider_UK
I will make certain panels per order, some I will make in batches things like A10C CDU panel. I have had few people in the US that are interested, they are mainly civil aircraft. If the drawings are available I can pretty much do any panel upto the size of 680mmX400mm. I have a request for a 747 overhead panel that will take two pieces to make the one panel. So skys the limit (excuse the pun). Thanks for the interest up to now, keep them coming regards Glider Edited May 28, 2013 by Glider_UK http://www.modeldesigns.co.uk Mobo Asus Maximus XI RAM:64GB DDR4 CPU:Intel I9 9900 Nvidia 2080TI WIN10 64Bit HP Reverb

Glider_UK
Me too  Could we have our own panel designs? Yes of course, all you need is to give me a basic drawing\idea and I will do rest. Also interested, would the panel have two layers to give clearance for the mounting nuts for the pots and switches? Cheers Peter There will be different choices for people, from top panel only to entire unit with its own box and any combination in between. The only items I will not be doing initially will be electronics and switches. Lets see how it goes and then I can move into a more complete standalone units including switches etc. I currently use Leo Bodnar boards myself. agrasyuk
Looking good.... whats the spacer panel for? think about it, if you mount switches on the bottom panel, what will happen when you put the top on? mounting nuts have thickness and the spacer accounts for that Anton. Deadman
Guy ya know i think it is great that there are so many guys willing to build panels here what is there 5 or 6? I just feel sorry for the guys that are getting a couple from one guy and them a couple more from some one else an the the last three from yet another guy three different fonts on panels in the pit will look really out of whack. but hey what do I know https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans. Fonts on panels are always an issue, what font looks best is always a judgement call. I can obviously change the font to what is desired. I think different materials also could be an issue, but unless your willing to buy from one place, what can be done? If there is a possibility of all the providers talking and setting a standard font etc. Then i'm up for it. That said I will try to help pitbuilders get exactly what they want but I can't always ablige. Although I can make custom panels I will make a some in one go to keep the cost down. ie. 8 fuel top panels from one sheet and one session.
